The Dow Jones dropped 157 points after Bush signed it. That's not very optimistic. I'm just afraid this is a band-aid that is going to make some more people wealthy at the cost of others.

I think it stinks.
And, the government screwed over the little people again.
I don't ever catch a financial break.
So, why should these idiot banks do so, when they bilked us out of our hard earned money in the first place?

What I find the most humorous about the whole of the Issue, is that Obama and McCain which have both supported this, have also pushed a lot of supporters to Barr. This Bill might just be the ticket Barr needs to get into office. Which would be better than either Obama or McCain.

Yep, I totally agree.....even on one news broadcast today, they said, at the end, "this bailout does nothing for the poor, who are trying to find low cost rental housing.....they've lost out once again." It's really a bummer, seems like the poor and middle class are getting left out of everything these days........if we get into "financial trouble," who's there to help us/bail us out? NOBODY!!!!

I really don't understand the whole thing, but I would like to know how so many people who are responsible for the failed banks, ended up with big fat severance packages. Where is my severance package?

I think it was needed but what burns me is how we got in this mess in the first place. I just feel we were taken for a ride by Bush and his buddies who championed de-reg and little oversight.

I just wonder if enough people really would vote for one of the alternative parties after this happened. We can clearly see that nobody in the government is representing us if they did something like this. The attitude that voting for one of the smaller parties is a wasted vote would not have to be so if enough people took action. Instead, people keep voting for the same parties that keep screwing the people over time and time again. It makes no sense at all.

I think this is the best thing that has happened for this Country in years. Finally, a reality check. It's back to basics time for America. People will not rise up until they are starving, though. It's only a matter of time. Revolution is near.
