Funny!People need to laugh at these politicians sometimes. Ron Reagan was able to laugh at himself, and it showed he was human like all of us.

I don't find it funny because of the honkey part. Humor is subjective and we choose what we are willing to laugh at and what we will not be part of. Political parties, ideals, goals, etc. again are something we choose. Some choose not to participate at all and contribute to the apathy and I promise one day they will be the first to say,, why did this happen? Some choose to decide that this party or that party more closely represents their side than the other. But there are things we can not control.

We can not control our race. Would it be as funny if it said half (n-word here) half donkey? Granted it doesn't rime with donkey but it is the same thing. It is racist, and therefore not funny. And it has NOTHING to do with being able to laugh at yourself. HONKEY is a racist term.

I found it funny, but my girlfriend didn't. Her daughter is half-African American, and she finds racial humor offensive. I don't intend to show it to her daughter, but she might laugh. She's 22, and has a good sense of satirical humor.

Honky, Honkey or Honkie is a predominantly American derogatory racial slur for white people.

Honky is a corruption of hungy or hunky, a term which originated in the stockyards and slaughterhouses of Chicago. I have a more flippant view of our language and I think words only have hate in them if we allow them too and that is why I find this funny, it is not used in a hateful way.

I believe you did not mean to be hateful but at this time and when it comes to elect a president who can make serious changes in our country everything positive will definetely help.

Bruce, I agree with you that words only have the power we give them. I do use colourful metaphors, and have actually called myself that K word for Jewish people (If you are interested in why ping me). But I also do not find it amusing. There are no words among my colourful metaphors that denigrate people. I think that is referred to as bigotry and I am just not into it.
