Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are making their first joint public appearance today, in a quaint little corner of the country called Unity, New Hampshire. I wonder what motivated that particular choice of locale?
Not sure whether they will be burying an actual hatchet, but I wouldn't be surprised. (Not that long ago Hillary was expressing her thinly-veiled hope that someone would bury a hatchet in Obama's skull, inasmuch as that represented her last best hope of winning the Democratic nomination. But now there are hugs and kisses all around. Strange bedfellows indeed.) Incidentally, Hillary will be passing around her begging bowl at the end of the event. Feel free to drop in a few bucks to help her get out of that financial hole she dug for herself by dragging out her futile campaign to the bitter, bitter end.
Coincidentally, George W. Bush and Kim Jong Il, we learned today, are new best buddies too. Strange and wonderful things can happen when you actualy sit down and talk to your enemies, can't they? Next think you know Ahmedinejad and Osama bin Laden will be joining us around the campfire and we can all sing Kumbaya.

ANyway, whens the circus coming to town?
The subject was the length of the Campaign. The milestone in time was the RFK assassination. I heard it, I understood it.
What the Psychotic Hillary haters heard in their hate filled head was her call for Obama's death.
Soon it will be Obama's turn, his words will be twisted like pretzels to mean whatever is most embarrasing for him. Just like Hillary.
How nice!!!
Everything "New" is "OLD" again!!! So much for the "CHANGE" we all hoped for. To me at least it now looks like old Washington politics is back in the saddle - this time with a new horse named Obama.
To bad once again for the American people. I really thought we had a chance this time, but once again our corrupt two-party political system wins out once more.
Hillary Rodham Clinton represents EVERYTHING wrong with American politics today and it pains me, an independent, to see Obama forced to play nicey-nice with this worthless piece of politcal garbage. And to witness his poor wife have to do the same. How very, Very sad it is, but hey - Terry McCaulife was certainly smiling last night. Do you think he gets a "cut" of every dollar that the Clintonistas now pledge to Obama?
Do you think Ross Perot might consider running? His ears and Obama's look very similar don't they?
"Her support seems lackluster at best."
I assume that "her" is Hillary Clinton. Her support is simply to maintain some degree of power within the corrupt Democratic party - that and an attempt to hold some kind of ransom over Obama to try and get her "big fat ass" out of the financial mess she has gotten herself into. And this is what we want to represent the first female presidential candidate? Thank God she's done...now maybe, just maybe we can get her the hell out of the senate as well.
Did I mention that I am NO fan of Hillary Robman Clinton?
Jeannie B;
Were is the GOP spin in this thread?
Paul G. simply stated that Bush & Kim Il are now buddies and then went on to poke fun at it. No one commenting has praised Bush or called it groundbreaking.
And, the question of exactly how much real progress has been made is still very much open to question. The North Koreans' grand gesture in exploding their reactor's cooling tower may impress some, but unless it is followed up by the dismantling of the reactor itself it's little more than showmanship. And there's no telling how much fissile material they've managed to produce, or where it's going to wind up.
As for the Lovefest today, I totally missed it, haven't had the TV on at all today, nice reprieve, and I doubt if I missed anything. I do believe Hillary is being honest when she says her main objective now is for the party to unite and win in the Fall, but I just couldn't bear to watch the media spin it today. I think both Hillary and Obama realize the importance of beating George W McCain in the Fall. I know I do, and I'm not even a politician.
And speaking of W, it's interesting now that he's befriending the only person who has probably done a worse job at running a country that he has. It's like he can now say, "Sure, I suck, but this guy sucks more. He keeps food away from starving children."
I don't really like to discuss politics. I just came over to give you stars. Though I am always interested in relationships... It's obvious Barack and Hillary are having a romantic relationship....that would explain the complete inconsistency in their feelings for each other.
