Swans Came to Visit Today

I've been waiting ever since we moved here to SC to see some swans out back in our pond. Finally today they came. Here are the photos. This is my first time trying the embedded code, so I hope it works.

Can you believe how close they came to the house and look at those feet.

Great video. I didn't realize how much swans look like Chinese White Geese. Mom has those. Necks are a little different though.

That is awesome. They do have some big feet don't they. So, do they winter in your area or are they passing through? Keep them fed if they do and you'll have them all the time. I'd like to see their babies in the spring. :)

Lynn, thanks. I wish they would eat cracked corn, but all they wanted was bread which isn't good for them. We saw some swan babies when we vacationed here last year. I posted some photos. There were seven of them. It would be neat to have them right out back though. Swans are all over down here in MB, SC. This is a first to have them in our pond.

OMgosh Nana, -- this is really something! You could have 'reached out and touched them' they were so close. They are beautiful and as Lynn stated they do have some big feet. I am so happy you were able to capture them, I really enjoyed it....hope they come back, -- I want to see more!!

Swans are beautiful to watch and you have captured their elegance!

Do be careful of your toes, however, when they come close. They can get nasty and bite.
