Disappearing Points? Can they?

Okay, I know I'm not crazy.  This morning I logged in for a little while and read a few posts.  My point total ended with 101.

I just logged in tonight and my point total ends with 71.  Where did my 30 points go?

Can points disappear?  Can they be awarded and then taken away?

I posted photos and viewed and commented a lot yesterday.  Just curious if this was possible and wondered why.

I've seen this a few times. Sometimes they go away if the original poster deletes the comment, or the entire post. Other than that, I have no idea.

Some people got awarded too many points this weekend and some people didn't receive any points. I think they squared everyone up this morning around 11 AM. Those that had too much had the extra points/cash taken off and those that didn't get any received their points/cash from the weekend.

Well, they didn't get mine right. Oh well, I didn't get any points for the photos I posted yesterday. They took them away.

I would e-mail gather, Cathy. Everyone makes mistakes, including gather. You've worked hard for those points, so make sure you get them!

some people were awarded double points for some summerpics, then they took away the points ---- hope you got this straightened out.

I thought I saw mine move rather strangely over the past few days. Until I saw your post, I thought I was imagining things as well. Did you ever find out what happened to the points?
