Any one out there want to pay more? I don't know about you but with food, gasoline, milk, produce, energy, water , etc, etc, going up in price I'm a little strapped for cash.... You know I didn't get a raise- did you?
Yet I keep hearing how our government is going to spend, spend, spend. Bailouts, buying banks, inflation, Iraq war. With jobs still going overseas and across the border to Mexico... who is going to pay for our piggish goverment spending? Well... a tax increase of course.
So who wants to pay more taxes? How much more?
When are we going to T-E-L-L our government that enough is enough? Our hoggish leaders (on both sides of the aisle) need to cut back. Cut down on the stupid projects... we need roads and national health care not pornographic art work or two foriegn wars. We need to build infra structure for new energy- not subsidies for the oil companies... or to have farmers NOT grow crops. We need fewer lawsuits. We need to cut back on the myriad of aides our senators and congressmen have and also on their free trips around the world. I'd love an all expense paid vacation around the world... but I can't afford it and I don't think we should pay for our congressmen and senators to junket all around the world- It's BS.
In my household when times get tight- we tighten out belts. We do without stuff. Cut back on eating out. Put off a vacation. Hold off on a purchase. Take a second (or third) job. I just don't see that in our government. These guys remain out of control... spending like a drunkard on payday. Financing a war, social security, national health... hey fellas the pot of money isn't never-ending.... did Congress ever hear of the word budget?
We need to send a strong message to Congress- get your $hit together. My taxes should not go up because you guys need to give pork projects to your cronies and donors (Halliburton, Blackwater, oil companies, tobacco, big auto, etc). WE THE PEOPLE... means everyone not just special interest groups.
( My rant is now over... please return to regular programing.)
