Well last night I went home and was spending time with my children. They wanted to do something but I did not want to spend money. My pocketbook has been squeezed a little too much lately especially knowing I will be going on vacation shortly. I am trying to save every little bit of cash I get.

We decided on having a family game night. The boys decided they wanted to play SpongeBob Monopoly. It is the same as the original except with quirky new names for the properties and the chance and community chest cards.

I had the kids set up the board and I was the banker. My husband was the deed holder and the game began! It was too much fun we were laughing so hard half of the time. It was quite the sight seeing my two boys wheeling and dealing! It was quite the site!

I decided we would play a no mercy type game because Monopoly is such a long game to play. My youngest son ended up winning! He is 9 and he was quite the tycoon! We watched zero television last night and had a good time doing something fun as a family. It cost us nothing! So if you are looking for something to do with your family and have no money to spend I recommend getting back to basics and playing a good old board game!
