Follow along
and look at the many beautiful flowers I came across on my walk about town.
Good morning gatherites. Please join me on my morning walk. It's usually about an hour long and includes a cup of coffee from either the Coffee Bean or Starbucks. Come along- you don't even have to get up early... I usually am out and about by 6:30 a.m. Thanks to the wake up call given by our resident Northern Mockingbird. He sings all night but usually takes a break around 2 am and resumes his serenade about 5:30. Yeah I know I'm an early riser. That's what 21 years in the military will do to you- among other things.
The walk takes me through my neighborhood, near a golf course and the local shopping center and then back home. Like I said it's usually about four miles in length. Today you'll see bunches of flowers that are in bloom. Sit back and enjoy the scenery.

<----- Blooms on a Jacarnda tree.

<<<--- Stinky society garlic. Very pungent and smells just like the name.. Peeyew.
<<<--- a beautiful red rose. Found in the parking lot near the Rubio's Taco shop.

<<<--- A peach rose that it's just opening it's bud.

<<<--- rambling rose.

<<<--- a fiery day lily.

<<<--- A bougainvilla- up close and personal. growing on the side of the sun tan salon. Funny how its' summer and sunny and folks still go to these places. Call me crazy but I think going to a tanning salon is pretty vain. When I see some guy or gal walking into this place I think...Hey pal- a little more yard work or the beach is what you need !

<<<--- Another parking lot find. An Agapanthus--- aka Lily of the Nile.

<<<--- This pink Oleander is peeking out the back of someone's yard on main street.

What a better way to say good morning than these ever blooming, perennial morning glories... These belong to the golf course- but I like to look at them every time I go for a walk. This way they are part mine.
Thanks for joining me. Any comments are always welcome.
Signed Matt
