Mark and I are going to be gone for a couple of days... off on an adventure while Becky D (Mark's sister) is visiting from California. The three of us were together in Scotland last year (plus Mark's nephew), so this is a bit of a reunion adventure, except that this time, we're heading to Lake Pepin, on the Mississippi -- which we hope to see from both the Minnesota and Wisconsin sides. We're going to be staying at a B&B called The Frog and the Bear. I'm excited! I'm sure I will have photos when we return.

Wasn't Lake Pepin mentioned in the Little House in the Big Woods, the Laura Ingalls Wilder book? I was always a big fan of those. When my kids were young, we even went on a trip to visit many of the sites and went to Wisconsin. We visited there as my adopted dad had been born in the tiny town of Thorpe in 1883 and I wanted to see the area.
Since that's you business I thought you would be particularly interested in what the other folks were doing...
