HOW FAR WILL THESE PEOPLE GO?

There is no bottom to how far they'll go. They set up voter registration tables and then don't turn in registrations that are not for their party. They tell new voters (college students) that Democrats will vote on the wrong day. They go on private property to remove the opposition's yard signs. Just to name a few of less their less offensive, upstanding, moral activities.

Last campaign cycle, I received 8x11 glossy ads for a Republican candidate DAILY for what seemed like forever but was probably closer to two weeks. Each was purposely, cleverly, misleading information about the opponent, since the candidate didn't have a platform of her own to stand on.

There is no limit to the money they will spend to deceive. It is going to be an interesting next year.

Monica, the word "audit" when spoken by someone in or close to government is threatening to most people. Not to put too fine a point on it, a government audit can put you in prison.

Clearly the document is deceptive, and easily interpretable as coercive. It is purposely confusing to suggest adverse action if the recipient doesn't send a donation.

I suspect the DNC has done something similar. Is the web site you cite non-partisan?

I would complain about receiving something like this no matter which party sent it to me. I could complain the loudest and the longest if it came from my party.

The title should read, "How Low Will These People Go?".

There is an old joke about wrestling with pigs, you get filthy, you get tired, and the pig has a great time. My dad liked to remind me of that when I started down the politifcal infighting path. HE QUIT saying it to me the day I said, yep, and if I win, I GET PORK CHOPS.

This is disgusting and I would hazard a guess that more senior citizens are getting a letter like this than younger voters. It is disgusting.

I don't find it threatening but if I received a letter like this from a party I would respond. Where they said there is no record of you supporting this or that I'd say that's because they were not worthy of support! Of course, that's the reason I'm not a party member! If I'm forced to join the Republican party to have an effective vote in Idaho, they won't like me! I'm still convinced that a taxpayer funded election should be open to independents.

WoW! This is terrible! I have to say though, I am not surprised after the last election. I guess I now believe that almost anything can happen in politics.
