I consider myself a cat person, but when I have a dog, I'm absolutely in love with it. I just finished giving Merri a bath (we went to my boyfriend's father's farm, and she found some cow pies). It's something to bathe a dog that stands about two inches taller than your knee at her shoulder... I'm lucky she's obedient!

I prefer cats at this time of my life and we have 10 of them. But we also have 2 dogs, a pit bull and a miniature poodle.

I won't make a choice any longer. I love them both and they both seem to gravitate toward me with very little prompting. I grew up with & around dogs and loved them dearly. But as an adult my schedule does not make me feel I am a good long-term home for a dog.

Cats are a little more self-contained and if you let them come over when they feel like it, they generally come over more often....so it works well

1 of mine is a pre-shelter rescue and the other is a rescue....no issues with them except I wish they were potty trained.

We were able to complete the first book in five weeks. Hopefully, we can get enough stories to make this book published in that same time period.
