Wii Went Bowling!

I can't wait to do the boxing game now that I've seen my son play it. It was the only game on the Sports disk I hadn't tried. I'll try it Tuesday when there's nobody around to laugh at my flailing.

If it wasn't for the fact that i just bought a ps2 right before the 3 came out and I'm flat broke, I would get one of these, I love video games and need the exercise.

I am seriously considering getting one of these for me! It will no doubt be on my birthday list. ha. Keep us informed of which games are best, Susan!

Stephanie, there's a great program for PS2 called Dance Dance Revolution (several versions) that I hear is a lot of fun and great exercise. DH has a PS2 and I'm thinking of buying this program.

Mary, I only have the one disk for now, but I'll update when I get another. At the moment, the games all cost about $50.00, so it will be a while.

Ya know, it never occured to me that there would be such a broad user group for Wii but it sure does make sense. Sounds like the bowling would be a whole lot of fun, and excellent that you won the game.

I love the Wii. My brother and I have bowling matches every time I go over to my parent's house or he comes over to mine. He especially loves the boxing and baseball on Wii Sports because he can no longer play sports like that due to his baclofen pump. He loves the bowling the most though since he does bowl in real life and likes that in the Wii version he can really throw it similar to bowling when in real bowling he can only use a ball ramp since he has not learned the rather complicated method of wheelchair bowling without a ramp. It is also great OT making him use both his hands and arms for the games with the nunchuck.

Okay, so this isn't real bowling. By the way, just how realistic is it?

I LOVE MY Wii!!!!!! My hubby and I each lost 5 pounds in the first week playing it. It's pretty realistic and it makes you break a sweat...especially on boxing. Susan, you need to use the nunchuck and wii mote together on boxing...so if you're playing 2 players, you'll need 2 wii motes, and 2 nunchucks.

I boxed for like 1-2 hours per night every day for the first 2 weeks. I'm a professional level boxer on the Wii's rating system...and also a professional bowler.

We also have Wii Play and my husband has Madden and Marvel Ultimate Alliance (some comic book game). He doesn't play Madden much because now that he actually has to "throw" the football....he gets tired out too quickly.

We haven't played it much lately cause we've been too busy...but when we were playing it, it was a really fun way to lose weight.

My cousins and I all have Wiis. When ever we get together somewhere we make sure to bring our own Wii remotes and we all play together. Its great fun!

The Wii rocks. Bowling is my favorite one too. Though my daughter who's 6 really likes the boxing because she can kick my butt.

We just got a new Wii......finally! Just when I'd given up hope on ever finding one!!!!! I went and bought a Wii Fit on e-Bay recently but haven't played/tried it out yet......I heard this is a great way to get exercise and lose some weight!!!!!! Also bought a zombies game, and our kid really loves it!
