If I could give you three things I would give you these a cheerful heart some wildflowers and freedom to be who you are.

If we don´t introduce children to nature with joy ourselves, then they will not live fully engaged lives, they will be doomed to simulate a copy of it the rest of their unnatural existences. And nothing could be sadder than to not be able to distinguish between nature and a simulation because the senses are dead.
Blessed are the master teachers, for they will keep the kingdom of heaven open to kids.
Blessings ~
Rene
Beautiful photos.
Thanks so much for posting this to
my group
Mother Nature-children-wise woman teachers - yes, there is hope.
And your article is Featured in the Triple Name Club.
On Tuesdays, I look after some of the communities' children. For this privilege, I drop everything. Nothing will prevent me from spending this time with them.
I know that you'll understand that.
I'm reading a book "The Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children from Nature-Deficient Disorder" by Richard Louv...it describes the staggering divide between children and the outdoors today. I think you would be interested in it.
Those would be gifts worth cherishing for all of us.
we had a lovley time.julia has been drawing pictures of her foster grandparents.i'm am so happy she has you and papa to spend time with.our family was missing that in our lives.now to get the baby turtle to eat!
As long as there are children that grace our world, then there is hope. Woodie Guthrie once wrote "I played around our yard some and talked to the fence posts, sung songs and made the weeds sing...." Children have that ability when they are exposed to natural settings. For it is these settings that stimulate all the senses and integrate informal play with formal learning. Multisensory experiences in nature really do help to build "the cognitive constructs necessary for sustained intellectual development and stimulates imagination.
Looking at these images I can think of few words...discovery in the first; wonder and awe in the second, and the lovelight in her eyes in the third. What gifts Julia gave to me on Mother's Day.
I imagine you receive much joy every Tuesday morn working with the children at the Community Center. By emerging ourselves in the activities of the young, we rejuvenate ourselves. I remember a time, not so long ago, when my heart was crying for something that could not be...and I thought I would never be able to sing and dance again....and then I stepped into the classroom in the fall and listened closely at circle time to the hopes and dreams of five and six year olds and discovered inside me that the world still had joy... I just needed to look for it.
Like Justin, Julia has a pure heart. I love listening to both of them. But you need to tell Justin I have three kitties and the last thing I need at this point is another one. The Inn is quite full.
You'll never know how much joy you filled our house with on Mother's Day. This morning when I came downstairs, the bouquet of lilacs filled the house with memories.
Blessings are where you find them...and blessings right now are in the belly of your daughter. How wonderful for you and me too to see that image Alyssa sent us!
Freedom is just another name for having the courage to be who you are!
Hey Lynne...I bow to you. Hoping to see you this morn. And now I need to run...I do believe I have a date with seventeen young people this morning.
How can I feature it if it isn't there?
I do think it was kind of funny...his words exactly: "You know for Mother's Day I'm going to give you the last kitty! You will like that kitty...really you will!"
Blessings always...
