This is quite a deep Haiku. The last line especially, since hyssop has for centuries been used as a cleaning agent, or that for certain purification rituals. The Jews in Egypt were instructed to paint lamb's blood over the doors with the hyssop plant for the Passover. The original Greek scriptures say vinegar was put on hyssop to give Jesus a drink while he was on the cross. There are many references to hyssop in both the Jewish and Christian scriptures.

HYSSOP - a European mint with aromatic and pungent leaves used in perfumery and as a seasoning in cookery; often cultivated as a remedy for bruises; yields hyssop oil
2. bitter leaves used sparingly in salads; dried flowers used in soups and tisanes

Herbs such as these are very good for you; especially basil. I know you know Curt, the connoisseur you are!
