my cat loves yoga

today when I was doing my yoga/belly dance stuff, my cat thought it was pretty cool that I was at his level on the floor. weaving in and out of my arms, butting heads with me when he could, and rolling on the floor in front or underneith me, he was having a good time and loudly purring. I couldn't help but laugh. I love cats! Whoever says they're unfriendly selfish creatures is lying! okay, maybe not entirely lying cause my cat has been those before too...but meh!

anyone else have fun cat/dog + workout stories? They seem to love the fact that we get down on the ground with them!

My cats are like me in that they think anything to do with workout is not for them. We do nap together.

My dog loves yoga but in a totally different way. He stretches more than I have ever seen any animal ever. Hes a bit of a brat and doesn't let you do anything unless hes the one that wants to do it. But he lets me pull on his arms and help him stretch its so wierd!

My cats like to play with my shoe laces and my long braid. They also like to pile up on me when I lay on the floor or the bed to stretch my back out. They're SO funny and spoiled :-)

My kitties love to help me exercise. At first they were afraid of my stability ball, but, after a while, they decided it was ok. If I do any exercises sitting on the ball, I'm sure to have a cat rubbing my legs if not jumping in to my lap.

I had a cat that would sit on my stomach when I did sit ups. The cat also would come running with me and stay just behind me the entire time! That cat was obsessed with me.

I have a Gazelle glider(?) and my dog, a yellow lab,. like to try and attack my feet as I am swing them back and forth. Many times he has been hit in the jaw. I think he has learned now.

My cats, 2 out of 4 of them, will lie on me in prone and jump on my back during the one that is like a push-up. Strange animals all!
