Birthday greetings to everyone born in the month of May.  This is probably the most wonderful month for me.  It is not because I turn another corner in that chronological village where my years sit behind dusty pianos.  It's not because the grapes sitting in my crystal goblets were picked in May.  It's not because of all the fresh flowers growing in my garden.  It is because May is a month of renewal, hope, love and birthday cake.

I send you this card - orange is a lovely color - when you see it in your garden think of all the sunsets you've seen and all the sunrises waiting to greet you.

These Violets grew gracefully on this postal card pressed between album pages.  I present them to you.  Violets are an old fashion flower but their meaning has endured.

To all the mothers and fathers out there who raise children and to all who nourish pets, trees, and all living things, I send you these lovely roses.  When you see one growing - remember that each petal is a gift from Mother Nature.  My beloved mother, Ana Teresa, loved red roses.  These are especially for mama.

Another birthday; just another day in May for me. I don't observe the day, nor do I tell others so they'll do anything to mark the date. It passes just like any other.
Happy, Happy, Birthday to you and all celebrating this month!! My husband and my boss are both with birthdays this month.

Miz Vicky - I love absolutey love this album which was a gift from the previous owners - it's one thing that didn't get thrown away and they must have known I'd enjoy them - you know my house here is named Florence after the Italians who built her! huh? lol...so anyway, this was here and some other good stuff - they had my name all over there and I love sharing them though the pages are very fragile...happy Wedding Anniversay Mis Vicky - and to your hubby - all the best - I love my animals and we do the b-day thang too - oh I loved Maypoles - how fun! What absolutely gorgeous cards and flowers! I kept thinking,"this is my favorite, no, that one is." I just love those lavender flowers in the basket. Wish I had a painting that looked like that. It is so beautiful!

Mariana, mine is the 7th. If you go by Jawbone Canyon tomorrow just north of Jawbone Store- stop in Jawbone Station & tell Robin, or Ericka or whoever is maning the station that you are a friend of mine. Ask for the Skinny the Ghost Bag Kitty book I wrote too. It doesn't cost very much and the money goes to my ghosttown Cerro Gordo. There are portapotties outside, and a coke machine, too, so it makes a nice stop. Lots of other great books in the store, too.

Thank you for posting these delightful memories of a former age. I remember having a book of cigarette cards from the nineteenth century that my great gandmother gave me. Unfortunately, my father got his hands on them and they disappeared. He had an antique shop in his later years and probably sold them. Ah, how sweet the memories of belongings from the past and how bittersweet the knowledge that they're gone. May the current owner enjoy them.
