Making Money on the Internet

Don't get me wrong. I enjoy Gather, especially the friendships and the gift certificates but for making real money, I need some other sources in addition to Gather.

I have a few lenses up on Squidoo, but haven't been doing it long enough to find out how much I'm making. I've learned that the more lenses I have the better for 'passive' income. Meaning I make the lenses, let them sit and get paid.

Squidoo shares its ad revenue with it's lens makers.

I'm also an affiliate marketer, mostly how to eBooks and some Amazon books. That requires a bit more work than squidoo.

I'm just posting this to Gather 'making money' groups, not groups at large.

Hope I get some good responses.

I also do a few survey sites like pinecone research and get paid $3/per survey

I too am trying out Squidoo - but I think it needs a lot of traffic to work. There are loads of ways to make money on the internet. The best thing I can do is post this summary from my blog, which lists everything I've tried, and the amounts earned (see towards the end of the post). The summary was done last November, so the amounts will have changed (and gone up) since then. But I hope it helps:

What a great way to make money. If you can do it timewise, how fun can it be? I will investigate these sites., and thanks for the info. Really want to know about Squidoo. Ellen B

If I reach a point where I can stay in front of the computer for any longer than I do now, without vision and headache problems, I might check into a few of these things. I do belong to MyPoints and have for years, but I don't buy much and have cut way down on surveys (too time consuming), so that doesn't pay enough to be considered for me.

I do the pinecone surveys they email me, gather, and write for some travel websites, plus get google ad revenue. It still doesn't amount to an income, but every little bit helps.

I'm doing Gather and Squidoo. I don't think you can really do well at Squidoo unless you put in a lot of time updating lenses and building new ones. Where it will really start creating a money magnet is if you use your own affiliate links to sell things on the lenses. I do make some money with the Amazon links - but not a lot. Last month I earned about $35 through Squidoo and I'm fairly sure this month will be better.

I like mypoints and gather. Boomertowne would be great if they ever start mailing out the giftcards. I am also signed up for pinecone and a few other sites that send out checks for some of their surveys
