I'd say 95% of my points came from commenting. But I just noticed that after 900 points they seem to be coming by a bit slower. Maybe I'm doing less commenting which is probably the case but I've written more articles. I only have one large article and I only got three comments on it so it's hard to say what kind of points you get from that but commenting got me about 800 of my points!

Correction....I just got a comment on my long article and my points did jump up a bit. Anything you can do will help but commenting is a very easy way to go!

I joined for the same reason at first. Now, I've been writing more articles and making new connections and my points have jumped up quite a bit. It's hard to say what gives you more points though, the articles or the commenting. If you find out let me know!

Find an interest group that holds a daily chat, and your points will go up dramatically each day due to the number of posts you make during your chat. This is how I get most of my points. Chat in the morning, chat in the evening with some good friends. Other than that, comment, comment, comment!
Make sure you have your preferences set so you get an email sent to you when people in your connections post a new article or image so you can jump over and comment. This may seem annoying, but you won't ever have to go looking for things to post about. Your friends will appreciate your gesture, and your point totals will get higher!

Yikes, if I had it set to send me an email whenever my connections publishes, I would be awash in emails!

I do have it set to send me one when someone comments on my work though.

I try to comment on all that I have time for and that seems to work for me, but when you publish, you are making points while you are doing other stuff. That is nice!

Thanks for all the advice. Does it sometimes take a while for your points to show up. I published three articles in the last two days and comments over over twenty times and received only 10 points so far on my total.

They usually come up within an hour. Someone told me, I think that it was Dan, that they update a few minutes after the hour. For me it seems that some days I get more points for the same amount of comments, but I have never actually taken the time to do the math:)

The more connections you have, the faster you can aquire points. I do seem to get most of mine from commenting.

I didn't get any points for commenting yesterday at all. I thought maybe they update points one time per day. Does it matter if you rate an article when you comment?

I just found this site. I did some commenting yesterday but didn't earn any points yet. I guess I am wondering how many comments it takes to earn a point?

I have made loads of comments and have only added 3 points to my total. Does anyone know how long it takes for the points to be added or they immediately credited?
