Associated Content is the main one that I am aware of. You can basically publish on any topic you want, but they also have times where they offer additional pay for specific topics (for example, right now, a lot of the topics seem to have a "Valentine's theme" to theme - best spots to propose, top florists, best spots for a romantic dinner, best romantic escapes, Valentine's crafts, etc.). For the most part, pay per article varies from $5-$11.

There are a couple of "Associated Content" groups here. It's a good opportunity to communicate with others and also to build relationships. They have a "clout score" there similar to the trust score on JB based on the ratings on your articles and page viewings.

Associated Content is a good place to start. You might also want to check out a copy of "Writer's Market." It has a list of all types of publishers. Once you get an idea for an article, then you can try to match it up with a magazine. Good luck and keep us posted!

I am on gather for the fun of it as well. I am hoping to supplement my income by using my writing skills, wahtever those might be. I hope to stay employed with my senior couple as long as possible, but I do want to be prepared in case the family places Ms. Della into a nursing home, leaving me without work.

Stephani - I use all my points to buy cat food - well, I think I will if I can figure out how to get cash. Anyway, maybe some of those Women's magazines that you see at the checkout stand can use some of your good commonsense articles. You should go to the library and get a Writers Market 2007 and I believe they may tell you what magazines pay and for what. Salud.

OH ok...I had no idea of such a writers market 2007. I will check that out tomorrow afternoon upon leaving work if the rains don't wash me away. If so then I will just check on Tuesday.
