I did my first post of books read in 2009 back in May. At that point I had just finished book number 16 and was working on 17. I really haven't had much reading time available to me over the summer. Everyone is home from school, so we've pretty much just spent the entire summer just chillin' here at home and enjoying a whole lot of family time. It has definitely been a pleasure.
As of today this is my book list:
- Christopher Paolini, Eldest (reread)
- Christopher Paolini, Brisingr
- Stephenie Meyer, Twilight
- Stephenie Meyer, New Moon
- Stephenie Meyer, Eclipse
- Stephenie Meyer, Breaking Dawn
- Malcolm Day, Voices From The World of Jane Austen
- Michael Connelly, The Narrows
- Kelley Armstrong, Bitten (reread)
- Benton Rain Patterson, With The Heart of a King
- Elizabeth Jenkins, Elizabeth The Great
- David Starkey, Six Wives: The Queens of Henry VIII
- Brandon Mull, Fablehaven (reread)
- Brandon Mull, Fablehaven: Rise of the Evening Star (reread)
- Brandon Mull, Fablehaven: Grip of the Shadow Plague (reread)
- Brandon Mull, Fablehaven: Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary
- Obert Skye, Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo
- Obert Skye, Leven Thumps and the Whispered Secret
- Obert Skye, Leven Thumps and the Eyes of the Want
- John Sandford, Dark of the Moon
- Obert Skye, Leven Thumps and the Wrath of Ezra
- Charlaine Harris, Dead Until Dark
- Charlaine Harris, Living Dead In Dallas
- Charlaine Harris, Club Dead
- Charlaine Harris, Dead to the World
- Charlaine Harris, Dead As A Doornail
I'm currently reading book six in the Sookie Stackhouse series, Definitely Dead, and a book by Jane Dunn about the relationship between Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots, Elizabeth & Mary: Cousins, Rivals, Queens. I've read it on and off as I read the Charlaine Harris books. It's an extremely interesting read and contains much I didn't know about Mary. She's quite the tragic figure, and though I'm not impressed with her at all, one cannot help but feel sympathy and pity for her.
As for the Sookie Stackhouse series I highly recommend them if you haven't already read them. I wasn't too enthused by the backflap of book one when I first began reading it - I was mainly reading it (a) to see what the hype was all about and (b) because the book was given to me - but the series very quickly drew me in. I've got disc 1 and 2 from the HBO show, "True Blood", which is based on the books, coming from Netflix today. I might have a new addiction before this is all over.

And I just ordered Twilight from the library. I want to see what all the fuss is about.
The Sookie Stackhouse books are addicting. LOL. I can't wait until the short story collection comes out in Nov/Dec.
