Do you ever get the feeling you've just picked up the exact book you need to read at the exact right time? I just started reading Undiscovered Country, by Lin Enger. (Leif's (Peace Like a River) brother. The booked is billed as a Northwoods Shakespeare story. I am not far into the book yet, but it hinges on one brother telling his younger brother the story of a tragic event that led their family to move from the town they once lived.
As many already know, I have been working on the prequel to No Sensible People, tentatively titled Almighty Whispers in Our Souls, which follows the parents of Jennie Halifax, Molly and Nate, in alternating points of view. Right now, I am in Nate's head and it is proving challenging. Reading an excellent rural Minnesota male voice should do wonders in helping me through my rough patches -- not to mention that so far it's just a good book.
More later.
Gretchen Lee Bourquin is the author of the novel No Sensible People, available in print from Lulu.com and Amazon.com. A preview of the 2nd edition is available as a free download for a limited time via her website.

Because I always pick the ones, I truly want to read.
If it doesn't sound interesting to me, I won't pick it up.
So, every book I choose, is chosen with loving care. And, would never steer me wrong.
PIF!

YES! I don't think it's coincidental, either. It happens quite often.
