Read all the books on the BBC Big Read list (100)

Welcome Lists, Lists, and More Lists members and anyone who should happen across this list.

One of my goals (as stated in my 30 Things in 30 Years article) is to read all 100 of the books on the BBC Big Read list. These books were selected and voted on by BBC listeners (thus the heavy concentration of Terry Pratchett and Jacquelin Wilson books voted on by their fans). Here is the list of books that I have read so far:

This is written in response to the challenge posted by Monica Formerly Kennedy soon to be Zenberg (divorce) in the Two Word Challenge Group where we'd list 30 things we'd like to accomplish in the next 30 years, support each other, and add 20 more items as soon as we complete 20 items so we have a perpetual list (I'm going to have to do it at 5 things because I'm impatient.) I live by lists and goals and most of these were already on my list when we got the challenge. Many of the items are themselves lists. I'll be posting all of my lists to Lists, Lists, and More Lists

Like Kimberly, I love Owen Meany. Pride and Prejudice, Anna Karenina, To Kill a Mockingbird, Little Women, Gone With the Wind,Rebecca, 100 Yrs. of Solitude, Anne of Green Gables, The Woman in White, The Count of Monte Cristo, Wuthering Heights are among my favorite books!

Superb Melinda! I found that tere are more Terry Pratchett and Jacqueline Wilson books than anything else and I hadn't read either of them before.

Let's see, of all those listed I have read 18: all the Harry Potter books, all the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books, To Kill a Mockingbird, Winnie the Pooh, Wind in the Willows, Treasure Island, The Great Gatsby, Secret Garden, Lord of the Flies, Alice in Wonderland, On the Road, Count of Monte Cristo, Grapes of Wrath, Wuthering Heights and part of Crime and Punishment. I'm not sure if I read Good Omens or not, I did read one of Pratchett's books and really liked it, but not sure which one it was...

Great list, might have to make it a goal to read the rest of the books on it...
