I was cruising YouTube and somehow found this video by The Alarm. Instantly the memories came back and I was singing along with this Welsh band. Hailing from Wales, The Alarm started out as a punk/alternative band and had a few hits in Europe and the U.S. Their biggest break came as the opening act for U2's War tour. "68 Guns" and "Spirit of '76" are their other hits.
Mike Peters, the vocalist, had one of the loveliest mullets I've ever seen. He is still touring and making music as The Alarm. (although without the mullet) By the way, the lyrics reflect the novel of the same name by Stephen King, according to the all-knowing and always correct Wikipedia. *cough*
