But tonight I must admit, NEVER, EVER, EVER....Have I seen so many entertainers perform so incredibly PERFECT. From the novices to the old pros, everyone that performed was flawless, Rascal Flatts and Jamie Foxx were awesome, The Eagles were perfect, as though you were listening to a CD. Newbie (Dumb blonde is an understatement) American Idol chick, Kelli Pickler damn near out sung and out-performed everyone on the show, she was incredible.
Sugarland rocked and proved that you can combine Country and Rock be it hard and fast or soft and mellow. Reba was........Well she was Reba, and it don't get no better.
Country Music has taken a serious turn in the last 10-15 yrs. Ever since Garth Brooks revealed that his favorite band ever was Kiss and he began to mold his live shows after that concept, country music hasn't been the same. Between Garth, Brooks and Dunn, Gretchen Wilson, Sugarland, Carrie Underwood, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney etc, etc.....Country has turned into the new ass-kicking, straight forward Rock that hasn't been prevelant since the late 60's, early 70's. When you look at the stage and see Marshall stacks behind the "Lead guitar player" You know it's on......And personally, I couldn't be happier......
No longer do we have to "cry in our beer" The upbeat music and the contemporary lyrics have made country music once again a very viable revenue source, not to mention a pleasure to listen to!!!!

Kelly Pickler is awesome too but I like her hair long better. She gained 10 years on her life when she cut her hair off....just my opinion.

How many country artists, country duos, and or country groups have crossed the lines to contemporary and pop music?? It is my belief that country musicians are totally in touch with their listeners as far as singing about their life experiences - heartbreak, falling in love, death, finding yourself in this world, relationships, revenge, etc, etc.
I have been to several country music concerts and they have been some of the best concerts I have seen. They put on a show that is for the fans, which is something some bands have forgotten what the tour is all about. Country music is gaining popularity in all age groups and you find all types of people at the concerts, even the hard rockers LOL.
