Thanks to everyone for welcoming me to Gather... Over the last 45 years of being in show business, I’ve had some really cool memories from performing with so many different artists, past and present. As a matter of fact, just the other day when I did the Leno show, I was in the commissary having lunch, and on the wall were pictures of Groucho Marx, Bob Hope, Milton Berle, Jack Benny and Abbott and Costello. I turned to my manager and said, 'Abbott and Costello are the only guys on that wall I haven't worked with. Through it all my fans have played a significant role, that’s why I want to ask all of you to share with me your favorite Donny memories and moments over the years.
Beginning today, Gatherers can post articles and images of their favorite Donny moment or memory and at the end of the submission period, I'm going to select the winning article or image from the 5 highest rated entries. The winner will receive a personal phone call from myself, a signed copy of my new CD, Love Songs of the 70's, as well as a signed photo. In addition, the next 4 runner-up entries will receive a signed copy of Love Songs Of The 70's as well!
Good Luck and thanks for following my career all of these years. It certainly has been a wild ride for all of us.
Donny

Now through Thursday May 10th Gatherers can post articles and images to the Gather Music Essential (http://music.gather.com) expressing one of their most favorite Donny Osmond moments or memories – anything from an essay on your first Donny concert to a picture of your old Donny and Marie lunchbox! Community members will vote on their favorite entries throughout the submission period and on May 10th I will announce the top five images or articles with the highest rating. Of these top five entries, I will select my favorite and on May 15th I will announce the winner on Gather.com.

The winner will receive a personal phone call from YOURSELF? Your REAL self?
What's second prize--a roll of toilet paper autographed by Sheryl Crow?
Favorite memory? Favorite memory? Let's see. How about the time my dog vomitted all over my kitchen floor--this really gross, frothy, mustard-yellow stuff--and your song called...well one of your songs was playing on the radio. I swear I almost upchucked myself. But then I turned off the radio. (Do I win? Do I win? Here's my phone number, Donny: 555-873-2291)
Thankyou for keeping me alert! Donny xx P XX
My article was featured for like 3 seconds and then they replaced it with yours. Funny thing is my article was about you too. Oh well, I guess I'll get over it.
Sounds like this contest is going to keep you very, very busy reading tons of entries. As much I adore you I won't enter the contest; so if you need any help in the selection process, I'm only happy to assist.
I hope the flag gets removed from this article soon.
Yes folks, my favorite memory is when Donny joined the Officially OFFICIAL Wendy R. fan club right here on Gather! You can read all about it here
Care to touch my sleeve?
I do have some photos I can share though. :)
As an aside, anyone else think the picture accompanying this article is scary or is it just me??? It's sort of the look that I would think is best reserved for when he finds Josh with his hand in the cookie jar before supper !!!
Ok off to raid the memory bank.......
Donny's been building Pyramids in the UK..May 7th Challenge TV... ;)
As a long time fan and President of Gather, welcome to the Gather Community. The contest sounds like a lot of fun!!
Carl Rosendorf, Gather President & COO
I live in the area now where your little brother( he aint a little boy no more) Jimmy has his show( he even shops in the store I work in from time to time.)
I know I dont have anything tucked away from those times.....
I look forward to trying to muster up a special memory...just because....!
Even so...favorite ...Donny memory ? Wow...Can it be Alzheimers already ? ...I'm totally...blank. "The Osmonds" were but a blip...in my lifeline. Maybe I'm the wrong age...or from the wrong part of America? Is this a Heartland thing ? I just don't recall much about him, really.
One thing : Andy Williams. I recently saw an Andy Williams Christmas Holiday Show . Andy is definitely getting up in years , I mean , he's about 80 I guess, but..he performed well. Still... Donny wasn't in the show...so...sorry for the tangent...
Good Luck with all your Osmond memories.
Some one please let me know when there's a James Taylor, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, U2 or R.E.M. memory contest...?
.....::: wanders off shaking her non Osmond memory laden head head::::....
Please allow me to spell it out for you...HOAX !
Now we have some crackpot nutbag posing as Donny Osmond chalking up points !
And just when I thought I had seen it all.
:)
My springfild surprize (donny)

I know many of the posts have been missed due to many of us being new on here and not knowing our way around fully, plus some of us can't come on everyday, and of course sometimes our posts are swamped by others, so don't seem to get any votes. But I think that if all posts are read that merit will be given that way and at least Donny will have read them, so don't give up and worry about posts that went on earlier, or seem to be seen and read more, I'm sure all will be judged equally
AND PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE lol whoever wins we want a word for word, breath for breath, every second account on Friends of Donny Osmond and wherever else you can post it lol
Good luck again and I'm sure Donny will love them all
Kim
My three sisters and I were taught to sing in close harmony. We performed locally throughout our childhood and young adulthood. My mother -- a huge stage mother -- always tried to give us examples to follow. The Lennon Sisters and the Osmond Brothers were simultaneously loved and hated by us girls. Liked your singing. Hated our practicing.
My sister Mitzi was in LOVE with the Osmond Brothers. She got their album for a gift. This was back in the day. Barber shop harmony. We never sang barber shop, but I can remember all of us singing along with that record on countless occasions. After all, good singing is good singing.
My favorite Donny memory is my first one. Your brothers were on Andy Williams' stage. We (sisters) were allowed to stay up late to watch because the Osmonds were performing. And at the end of their performance, this tiny kid with a huge smile came skipping out onto the stage. And Donny Osmond was introduced to the television public. It was a great beginning for you. And it meant more practice for us.
