Tonight I had the opportunity to hear The Gibson Brothers. I won’t try to be a music critic, or an eloquent writer. In simple words I will tell you that if you love good, traditional bluegrass, you must hear these guys.
The harmony between the brothers takes me back to my father's time. I can think of few groups who have this purity anymore. Their voices are tight and the instruments are amazing.
Their covers didn’t make me cringe as many often do; these I enjoyed. The music, style and lyrics of their original songs could hold up beside any traditional. The slow pieces made me feel like my heart was melting and when the fingers were flying on the strings my foot was thumping.
"Eric and Leigh Gibson's sweet harmonies fall somewhere between those of Phil and Don Everly, and Charlie and Ira Louvin ... There is little question about the role of the heart in the making of modern bluegrass music and there is no doubt that the Gibsons apply lots of it to the music they so clearly love to make." Eric Thom, Exclaim!
"Dead-on, hard-edged harmony singing, like God and Bill intended bluegrass music to be sung. I find that refreshing, maybe even exhilarating. Crank this puppy up and feel the little hairs stand up on the back of your neck. This is music that CUTS." Lee Taylor, The SEBA Breakdown
Here is their website. http://www.gibsonbrothers.com/ Enjoy!

NC is a great place to live. Low property taxes, high sales tax. The weather is great, but varies greatly from one end of the state to the other. Feel free to ask any questions.
