April 18, 2007 A question for Mothers and expecting mothers, or even women in general!

I have written a few articles concerning my pregnancy and upcomeing delivery on (Lord willing) July 29th. I have been thinking alot about food and how the amount I eat or do not eat, impacts the baby. If I am one that eats a healthy amount of healthier foods (but, as always, splurges at times:), does this mean that my baby will be smaller, skinnier in a healthy way (mainly easier to deliver)? Or if I eat a lot of healthy and unhealthy foods (a mixture of both) would this make the baby more pudgy and possibly harder to deliver? Or does the food we eat not really effect them that way? I think for the most part I eat pretty healthy and a healthy amount, but of course splurge at times. I just want my baby to be healthy. I am just about seven months and am not showing all that much (the docter does not seem to have a problem with it so I am not worried about that), I am a taller girl so I think things spread out differently. I am just curious if these different facts could show what kind of size my baby may be. Like I said before I just want him to be healthy no matter what! I plan on asking my docter this at my next visit, but I thought I would ask now as well. She is a very good and nice docter, I just often forget to ask questions that are not that important and I don't want to take too much of her time. Thank-you for any imput you may have on this matter

The first was premature, born at 33 weeks... She was healthy, but weighed 4 lbs 9 oz... The second was full term weighing 6 lbs 7 oz...
Definately talk to your OB/GYN regarding your diet and the impact it has on the baby...
Wishing you a happy healthy baby!!!
My pregnancies and my weight gain seemed to be ruled by my cravings.
Good Luck!
