Dipping My Toe In: Photo Shoot #1
As I go through and edit, I am finding more and more photos I just love! My second photo shoot was with a girl I went to high school with for just 1 year. She moved and I went to a different school in the same district, as well, so we lost touch. We met back up through Facebook this year, and have chatted together ever since.
We met up at the Gerald R Ford museum, which is where former President Gerald R Ford is laid to rest. To one side of the museum is a long park, and the river, with the downtown sky line on the other side of the river. It makes for some great photo locations. While we were there, 2 weddings, and several family & senior portraits were being taken.
Right now, Grand Rapids is the home of the first ever ArtPrize, ta huge art competition that relies not on curators or judges, but the people walking the streets to vote for their best. Because of this, there is art all over Grand Rapids right now- in buildings, on the streets, on bridges, on land, on the buildings, even in the river, and sky. However, more about that later. I say this, though, because while ArtPrize didn't officially start until a few days later, sculptures were already in place, making for a great background.
So, with all of that said, here are my favorite shots from my 2nd photo shoot!
