If you are that sensitive than I am too! I am such a big Star Trek fan that I cried when the Enterprise was destroyed in the third movie too. Of course Beaches is another one that gets to me every time.

Oh sweetie, you are sweet!!! I cry all the time, at things I can't explain and I feel so silly when I do so lol. I didn't cry when the enterprise was destroyed though lol. I knew they would rebuild it, better and cooler :-)

I still cry with the old movie "Ole Yellar" and "Bambi" even Lassie when she gets lost or hurt. The only thing I don't cry about political news and politicos. I couldn't care less about those guys and their spouses. The rest of the human beings and animals touch my heart. Don't feel lonely.

Well, first, don't think of it as something bad. We would all be much happier if more of us were more sensitive. I am an 82 year old man -- hey, I am a manly man, but I cry at some new stories, and some movies. I get really embarrassed about it, but I would rather cry than look at those things and feel little or nothing.
Think of it as a badge of humanity.

I usually blame it on hormones but many things make me "tear up"! I know exactly what song you are talking about....it really chokes me up every time I hear it......It's just a part of my life, I always have the kleenex handy!

either you're sensitive
or you're not
and if someone suggests it
that you're too sensitive
it's because they are insensitive

it's a terrable thing
that the world is so desensitized
to feel is to be human
it's where compassion comes from

I'm pretty sensitive too...I refuse to watch any movie that has an animal in it, because I know something bad will happen and I can't handle it.

You are so in touch with the world in which you live that you "feel" it. Wow! Just think what that means.
Another human being writes a song and the song touches your heart and you react! Someone paints a picture and your reaction is so deep that you feel as though you could walk into the scene or touch the face of the child in the painting and it creates a longing in you.
Being sensitive to other's hearts and to your surroundings in general is what makes life exquisite.
A dab of a tissue can stop a tear but I would never wish to turn off the feelings that brought that tear to your eye.
Tears are not shameful they are the sign of being alive and being touched by life!

While I used to be very sensitive, I have learned that part of it is my own taking things personally that are not personal. I have had to learn to let things roll off and I am much happier, even to the point of being able to come off of many of the antidepressant medications i was on!

There is nothing wrong with being sensitive. I am not good with suppressing any of my emotions except maybe anger. Been working on that one for years.

I, on the other hand, don't cry easily. Sometimes, I wish I did. I think it has something to do with the chemical balance in the brain. I've suffered for many years with panic attacks and anxiety, so maybe it's a self-defense mechanism that I use to keep from getting anxious.

I'm sensitive about things I can relate to personally or tragedies such as the 9/11 attacks, which I just started crying without even realizing it till I felt the tears streaming down my face. There are always certain songs and movies that instantly choke me up, but for the most part I don't cry that easily.
