When traveling.. or even in your own home town, sometimes you run across things that are just down right amusing. Like the picutres I posted early of the truck with "plant your face here" and the business "Fiddler Roofing."
I'm always amused by some business names.
- Bit O'Paris Motel (what bit? and are you sure it's not Irish?)
- Mighty Taco (OH Man can we get a Whimpy Burger with that?)
- Just Pizza... and 54 varities at that!!
- Sleepy Hollow Motel.. (somehow I don't think so)
- Happy Hooker bait... (suuuuurrreee)
And of course there are the signs that just make you sit back and think..
- Beer Ice ... (not just beer... not just ice... beer ice)
- Now hireing daylight (my guess is that KFC had enough nighttime)
- Chicken Rocks on pizza... (personally I'm not sure about this but hey maybe somebody want it.)
- Cackleberries sold here .... (LOL eggs!!)
- Get the Red Shirt Treatment 24 hours a day... this was for a hospital. (OK now this may not sound amusing but if you are a Star Trek fan... I mean a real Trekkie you will get this one.... LMAO)
Some times car tags are just wonderful!
- TIGS TOY (this is my favorite actually it was mine now I have TIGS CAR because PA won't let me have the TOY
- DRDOOM (My husband has a friend who is a professor and has the last name Doom... though this is not his tag it would be a good one for him LOL)
- RD VRMVRM (on a red Mazda LOL)
- MLK JFK (I love this one)
I really get a kick out of stuff like this and am alway on the look out. Have you seen any interesting businesses? signs? license plates?

There was a restaurant when we were traveling through one town that said "Worst Food For 100 miles Please Don't Eat Here!" but of course it had 100 vehicles in the parking lot :).

my hubbys fav was an old sign on a small restaurant and gas station just outside Yakima Wa. It said "Eat here and get Gas"
Heck I'm still trying to figure out "Eat and Park" shouldn't one park before eating?

Sadly, no. We SO hoped there would be SOME homage, but it was just some poor guy trying to make a living in what was OBVIOUSLY a new home. We even left a nice tip because he let us have the room for the price of 2 adults instead of 3 and gave me a bottle of IBProefin for my back.
We were at Cedar Point and I got hurt on a roller coaster.
LMAO... ok either way it's funny... I think it's funny that it took you four hours to realize your mistake!! But I'm weird that way!

Then there is the chiropractor who has the plate BK DR. I enjoy a sense of humor, but some of the signs show a lack of thought. Sometimes that makes them even more fun.

This isn't really funny, but it amused my mom and me. I was driving us both to Walmart to get groceries, and in front of us was a truck with a bumper sticker. We were trying to read it, and I kept repeating what I could read out loud "Today is a nice day"..."Today is a nice day, don't"...And then my mom and I read out loud together "Today is a nice day, don't"....and we both went "ohhhh". The bumper sticker said, Today is a nice day, don't f*&k it up.

One of the things I adore about road trips are things like these. We saw a license plate last summer in Cape May that said IMTHEWALRUS. To Beatles fans around the world, that is just hysterical. No one else would get it. I had to take a picture of it. I didn't post it because I figured it was someones license plate and they wouldn't want it sent around the world on the internet. I also took pictures of funny signs and things on menus that were funny. I make a scrapbook page every summer of these kinds of things.
I definately have to be better at snapping the picutres. However, mostly I drive so I can't get the good things.
