January in Florida (Photos from my walks)

This is my first January in South Florida, and I am really loving it. The past few days have felt a bit like fall, but tomorrow we are supposed to have summer weather again, and we will make a trip to the beach in the afternoon.

These are some of the photos that I have taken on my January walks, I hope you enjoy the bright colors as much as I do. I cannot decide which photo is my favorite one, but I would love it, if you would let me know, which one you like the best.

wonderful photo essay. It's snowing right now and your pictures gave me the pick me up I needed on this cold night.

Great photo essay. I love all the photos but I would have to say that my favorite is the very first one. I love the pink flower with the plant fronds blurred in the background and the beautiful blue sky beyond that. Beautiful!

I think I should be living in Florida - truly - because I love warm weather and I love to be near the beach - it's still too cold here in California - at least for me. I like it downright hot - yes, I love summer !
These are fabulous images - each one of them - love the hibiscus and papayas - is that what they are??? Thanks for sharing j. These really perked me up! Salud.

Toni, the first one is definitely one of my favorites as well. It is funny, the blurred background really makes a big difference in this photo.

Thank you Marianne. I honestly don't know the names of all of the flowers and plants, which is a bit embarrassing. I have been thinking about bringing a plant book with me on my walks.

If you click on the little photo , it will pull up another larger one in another window so you just have to drag it into your article

Wonderful array of colors here. Definitely brightens up the bleak and rainy cold up here in Georgia. Nice photos and essay.

Mariana, you just click each photo so it opens in a new window while you're editing an article, and then drag it from there.

Marianna. I didn't use any program to make the photos bigger. I just click on them and they open up enlarged in a different window. I then drag them into the article.

Miz Connie - for some reason, I can't do that anymore - which gripes me because I could be doing tons of photo essays - all I can get is one larger photo even when I go to Foxfire. I'll keep trying - thanks so much. Salud.

My favorite is the palm berries (?) last photo.

I'm soooo jealous. We are going into a deep freeze here for the next week or so, I think. They are talking highs in the teens. BRRRRRR...............

I can't wait to come to FLorida for 2 /1/2 weeks in Februaury!! The weather had better hold out while I'm there. I'll not be as far south as you - Melbourne Beach. But then the last few days we are going down to Bonita Springs so I'm hoping I'll get some warm weather between the 2 places.

It's great to see these summery pictures amidst the cold weather up here!

I like the first shot best, I think! I really like the way those out-of-focus leaves fan out behind the flower.

But I also have a special place in my heart for morning glories, so I love that light purple one you captured! Gorgeous.
