While on a recent trip to Rome Italy we came across a very strange but magnificent site in the Piazza del Popolo square.
There were row upon row of an army of 1000 TRASH PEOPLE.
They consisted of an army of 1,000 recycled rubbish statues that has invaded the Italian capital to deliver an ecological message .
The life-sized statues were set out in rows like the Terracotta Army at the city’s huge Piazza del Popolo square.
The figures are moulded from tin cans, computers, crushed plastic and various other pieces of junk
German artist HA Schult’s aim is to challenge modern consumerism, reminding people of the waste they constantly produce and of the problems they are creating for future generations in doing so.
The Trash people are currently on a world tour and are due in New York
