The Proposal

Last night I got to see a sneak preview of "The Proposal" with Sandra Bullock & Ryan Reynolds.

Before the movie, I told my friend that I expected it to be cute, but predictable. And it was. But it was also much funnier than either of us expected!

Bullock is hilarious in most roles I've seen, as is Reynolds (he's also not bad to look at!) and their chemistry together is pretty good. Betty White is also hilarious as the 90-year-old grammy.

The plot: Margarate (Bullock) is a no-nonsense book editor who is hated by all her employees, including her "assistant," Andrew (Reynolds). When her Visa expires and she is going to be deported, and therefore fired, she tells her bosses that her and Andrew are actually engaged, and therefore the deportation is not a problem!

After meeting with someone from immigration, they head to Alaska to tell Andrew's family, where things spiral out of control and hilarity ensues.

I don't know that this is a theater movie - more likely On Demand or DVD - but it is a fun one to see.
