What would they be like? Hard to guess without knowing the "age" they'd be in. They could be younger than us, or much older... even if older it doesn't mean that they'd be more advanced, but one would think it more probable that they would be.
And thank you Gather for giving us this chance! Woowhoo, I'm seriously missing my weekly dose of BSG. Can't wait until Caprica starts!
I would absolutely LOVE to win this DVD. I was, and remain a BSG fan, and cannot wait for the new series to begin.
There must be life on other worlds.
I can't even begin to imagine what these beings ould look like, but with the myriad of examples we've seen on other sci-fi shows, these beings could resemble any of the plant or animal life on Earth or be completely different.
There would need to some way to ambulate, procreate, eat, and sense their world around them or life would surely cease. Other than that - who knows? I know it would be easier to introduce ourselves to beings similar to ourselves, so hopefully, they are out there looking for us too.
I imagine that their life is similar to ours in many ways, although they may have evolved differently depending on the environment in which they live.
If there is, what do you picture life to be like for them? Much advanced to our lives.
If there is, what do you picture life to be like for them? I think they would be watching us and learn from our mistakes by taking better care of themselves and the world around them.
Not humans exactly but I do think there are other forms of life out there; even the Talmud states that there are at least 18,000 other worlds.
If there is, what do you picture life to be like for them?
Life - whatever shape it might take (perhaps not biological in the sense we think of today, but biotechnological) - will certainly look and be very different then us.
Yes, I believe there "could" be a world of humans outside of the planet Earth; but I am much more convinced that there "must" be other forms of intelligent life outside of the planet Earth. I'm kind of a Saganist in this regard; that with billions and billions of worlds available just in our own galaxy, and the fact that there are millions of galaxies in our universe, the chance of other intelligent life (and human life) beyond our own planet is more than likely.
As for what kind of lives they live... I expect they are workers who struggle to survive and get ahead, just as we are.
Thanks for hosting this give-away. I'm a big Sci-Fi fan; and I've followed the new BSG TV series completely. Please throw my hat in the ring.
Honestly, I don't think there is...but it doesn't mean I don't enjoy all the different Sci-fi series.....I really love both Stargate series, and I think they portray the different aliens very well. Some are good and some are bad....it's like that everywhere.
Absolutely - perhaps they are not as human as we conceive them to be, but live and possibly human - like - why not?
I'm a a big fan of Sci-Fi and I believe shows like Galactica keep it real.
It's difficult to picture life for other worldly humans on another planet - but fun and exciting at the same time.
The codes they live by and their life priorities for success and survival will be different from ours.
I'd love to see a connection to nature and a successful, yet peaceful life. A society which honors more ehteral values than we honor at present and hopefully no concepts of hate or religious zeal which end up in war.
As far as a movie they could always asssit other races in the universe who haven't reached the same level of shall we say "zen"?
There could be. Seems like there should be something out there.
"If there is, what do you picture life to be like for them?"
I'd like to picture them wiser than we are at this stage of our development, but it could be anything.
I do believe there is other humans outside Earth. I believe their life is way more advance then ours and they look and act different then us.
I LOVE SciFi and really look forward to this show.
thanks!!
I believe that anything is possible, but this is unlikely.
If there is, what do you picture life to be like for them?
Depends on what planet they live on and the environomental conditions there. Is there air? What is soil and water like?
I do believe that other beings exist in another dimension from we humans.
I PICTURE THEM TO PROBLE BE MORE ADVANCED THAN WE ARE OR YOU NEVER KNOW THEY MAY BE BEHIND US
Chances are that the movies got it right, though, and if there is life somewhere, they're much more intelligent than anything on this planet.
I just wish I could live to see what's out there.
I think that there could be life out there but I don't know if they're human or not but on the other hand I don't think they are creatures with ten arms and legs that want to eat us like so many movies show.
If there is life out there, human or not, I can image them being either smarter with inventions we could only dream of, or a world with no technology at all.
Do you believe there could be a world of humans outside of the planet Earth? If there is, what do you picture life to be like for them?
I think there is life outside of planet Earth, but I don't think that life is human. I believe in evolution, and that the events that occurred on Earth have led to the creation of humans through that evolution. Therefore, Earth humans are one-of-a-kind. Depending on the events that affected other life, any species variety of species could have been created - just look at how varied life on earth is (i.e. mammals, reptiles, birds, etc, etc).
I believe there could be life on another planet other then Earth. I think there lives could be different from ours but also very similar, almost as if they are just from another country and not another planet. They would have different sets of beliefs.
It's possible. I have seen an unidientified fying object before, & my husband saw it as well. Who is to say that we are the only ones in all of space~
while I do believe there might be other life forms I doubt they would be human - these other life forms are probably more advanced then we are as our world went through the period know as the DARK AGES where all learning and knowledge was suppressed. And in the grand scheme of time we are a fairly young race.
i do believe that there are other worlds and people just like us on them!

I know there is life out there in the universe because the scriptures tell us so. I also know they are human just like us. They were made in the image of Heavenly Father just as we are.
There is no doubt in my mind that there is life outside of our earth.
As for the possibilities of the existence of life, even humanoid life, somewhere out there? I absolutely believe there is. Don't know what, where, how (or even when). But the probabilities are simply too great for there not to be other life forms.
What would they be doing? How knows? Curiosity about that keeps us learning and growing.
Yes I believe that it is possible that there are worlds of humans outside of planet Earth. I would picture life for them similar to what it is for us. I do hope that they have done a better job of conserving their resources though.
I expect that water would be scarce, so that the density of life and size of the beings would be smaller.
My guess, is that extraterstrial life will be more practical. Since interplanetary travel (to habitable planets) is not realistically possible, their lives will be focused on living in harmony with the planet.
Also, ET societies would likely be less fuel-energy focused. They may not have had such a lush history of planetary life (the source of our burnt fuels). Perhaps they would be more plant-like, directly accessing the sun's power.
If there is other intelligent life out there, hopefully they have evolved beyond us to a better nature for all their kind.
