Worst Oscar Dresses 2009 - Vote Here!

Seeing as how I really haven't seen any of the movies that were up for Oscars this year, I thought it would be best to steer clear of commenting on who won or should have won awards.  No, this morning I'll be aiming low.  Take a look at some of the worst Oscar dresses I saw last night, and then vote on what you think takes the rancid cake.

Tilda Swinton looking just... just ghastly.  Definitely one of the worst Oscar dresses.

Gigi on the Red Carpet.  I think that's the color old newspapers turn when they've been hanging on the basement wall for 6 years.

Jessica Biel with what looks like somebody else's digs stuffed in her chest.  So I guess, two of the worst Oscar dresses :)

Ugh. I would say Tilda and Jessica. Whoopi's isn't really all that bad if you like animal prints.
Wow, they're all pretty bad. Hard to actually choose the worst. Out of the four, I think Whoopie's is the BEST. So, that's not saying much now is it?

Tilda's was awful on her. Whoopie's made her look like a leopard print overstuffed chair. The yellow thing was kind of putrid and of the 4 the white dress while not my cup of tea was probably the worst of the worst.

I couldn't watch the Oscars- ever since we hooked up our digital converter box we only get 3 channels and ABC isn't one of them. I'm not sure I would have watched anyway.

Jessica's dress is the worst...at least from these pictures.
I don't think the yellow dress is all that bad and I am sure that if the dress Whoopi was wearing was worn by a hot skinny girl or woman then it would have received rave reviews.
Tilda's outfit isn't so bad, it's just bad on her. She should have choosen something that didn't make her look nude from the waist up.
I looked for more pictures of Jessica's dress and I found some that look alright (still looks like she has a sheet draped over half of her body, but it doesn't look hideous). In this picture she looks like she is wearing pants.
O wow, Tilda really needs to take more than one look in the mirror before she walks out the front door, that one is hideous and makes no sense whatsoever, it's like "WHa?"

Tilda's top looks like it blends in with her deathly pale skin and the whole outfit is oddly shaped. This is not the first time she's worn something truly ugly, so I'm thinking she just has really weird taste in clothes- and hair styles, and makeup...

Whoopi should have gone with a different color fabric because it's almost like camouflage against her own skin tone. It it was a different color, it wouldn't be that bad. I vote for Jessica Biel because hers is ugly all around.

You missed Sophia Loren. She looked like a lemon chiffon pie vomited all over her.

And those awful long ice skating gloves to hide her aging blotchy skin on her hands and arms were atrocious.

I love the fact that Timothy Gunn was quoted as saying that he wants to take Meryl Streep clothes shopping. She definitely has a laissez faire attitude about fashion. But then again, she IS Meryl Streep. When I worked in the restaurant biz, I waited on her once. She was incredibly amiable.

I voted for Jessica because I did not expect her to make such a poor fashion choice. She has a beautiful face and body and that dress did NOTHING for her. I expected all of the other bad dress nominees to wear ugly things, so that is why Jessica gets my vote. So sad.

I was really shocked when I saw Miley's dress-especially since she is trying to look more grown up these days. Miley looked like a little kid dressing up to be fairy princess. Concerning the above dresses, my first thought was that strapless dresses always look like the could fall down any minute, and that extra stuff hanging from Jessica's bodice definately looked like the extra weight could pull it all down at any minute.

I liked Whoopi's dress, but think it would have been much better, more flattering to her without the sleeves. Put it in a cream or light tan colored chiffon and it would have been stunning on her. The style, without or with shorter, fluted flare sleeves would have flattered her figure more. The empire waist and flounced bottom skirt are good and could have been oh so elegant in a slightly different fabric. Whoopi is too short for that print. Someone even called it tiger --- doesn't know their animals!

That was a really tough choice! I couldn't decide between Tilda Swinton and Jessica Biel. I think the problem with Jessica's dress was that it really did not fit her correctly, and it also is just not age appropriate! She is young! She should have been wearing something classy yet hip. What she wore looked like a poorly fitted prom dress! In the end I voted for Tilda Swinton!

I think the worst dress was Kate Winslet's. Besides being an awful color, it looked like 3 dresses pasted together. An Oscar gown should be pretty (like Natalie Portman's) and Kate's defnitely was not.
