I really love all music. It is a way for me to escape from the realities of life. After a hard day I like to relax with music or listen to it while I'm doing daily activities. I would enjoy any cd if I won. They all sound great!

Having been an on-air personality in radio for many years...and one who took risks debuting new music and becoming a hit maker, rather than waiting until music became popular and playing it to death becoming a hit breaker...in addition to operating my own band management agency; I'd have to say I know a bit more about music than most do and have an ear for what's hot and what's not. I also have experience in a wide variety if music; not just one style. Of these three, Missy Higgins is the only one I've never heard or heard of.

I love music . . . because it is what I live for!!! Sometimes when you can't seem to think of the right thing to say, there is always a song to express how you feel! I've gone through numerous hardships in my short lifetime, and it seems that the only thing that really gets me through, is the music I listen to! I listen to music 25/7 --- even at work! I have a CD player with me at all times!

I would love nothing more than to review all these wonderful artists for Gather!

If I had to pick one artist though my top pick would have to be Enya . . . My very first favorite song was Enya's "Sail Away" as a child. I would sing her songs constantly and still listen to her today! She is wonderful and just soothes away any stress with her voice. She's just angelic!

Seal would be my second pick. His music is very emotional and heartfelt as well. I remember falling in love with him the moment his song, "Kiss From The Rose" came out on the Batman soundtrack. I am completely in awe of his ballads!

I am not as familiar with Missy Higgins unfortunately, which would make reviewing her fabulous b/c it would be an unbiased opinion! I know that I would love her, having just now looked at her website! I think her music/sound would be right in line with what I'm currently listening to!

I am an avid music lover. I enjoy all kinds, from heavy metal to fun loving music like the Chipmunks. Living with a teen who is into modern pop and rap, I even can handle that, and tell you who the artists are (now that is either bad or good...lol), and I live with a hubby who is still stuck in the 80's hair bands music. Myself, I am a person who does lean more to classical music, but as long as my feet can move, my fingers can click and my head bob...I will enjoy it.
Plus, I have written quite a few music reviews in my days professionally.

Music does many things for me. When life is stressful, it gives me a chance to escape and be lost in the flow of the music, when I'm sad, I can listen to sad music to help get the sadness out or listen to upbeat music to cheer me up, when I'm happy it adds to my happiness, holiday music allows me to enjoy it with my family.

I would love to review the Enya And Winter Came... CD

As a dance teacher / choreographer I love hearing and falling in love with new music. Music is my passion because it is the inspiration for my routines. Often times finding a good, unique but not to overplayed song is hard. That is why being in the know about new music is such an important thing for me.

I would love to hear the Seal and Enya albums, I already love the artists and know they put out good songs but I would love to open my eyes to some new gems before anyone else does. I know their music new will inspire me!

I would love to review any of them; however, I would especially love the opportunity to review And Winter Came by Enya.

I love music. When I used to do freelance work for the entertainment section of one newspaper, I used to do a lot of music reviews and band profiles. It was always great getting the chance to connect with different genres of music, and I discovered some fantastic groups that I would not otherwise have come across.

Music is the soundtrack to our lives, but most of us do not exist within simply one genre. We live our lives to an eclectic mix that paints our every movement.

I think music is one of the best thing how to express yourself. It is also best thing to cheer you up , but also when you listen to music I feel like I can rely to many songs. When you are sad and certain song is about what you are going through it feels like someone understand you through the music, through the lyrics of the song. I would love review Enya or Seal.

I love Enya, because her music is very special and it just make me relax. It is great music to listen to when there is some decision to make , it just make you really relaxed.

Hmm, why I like Seal? I like his music because I feel like there is some story in each of his song, there is something special behind his music.

My love of music started as a small child, My grandfather was a country fiddler who played by ear. Every evening after dinner he played. It was such a treat. I still love music to this day and the types of music varys from Nine Inch Nails to Mozart to everything in between. It takes me places I cherish.

I love music, but I have no experience in writing music reviews. I would love to give it a try though, and my first preference would be the Enya cd, as I have one of her cds already and love her music.

My boys and I love to play loud music and dance around together. We also love listening to music while we are making puzzles are doing crafts, and Enya has actually been one of the artists that I listened to the most while I was pregnant with both of my boys.

I would be thrilled to review any of them. The only one I know is Seal married to the host of Project Runway. My daughter is taking a music class and has to learn all the songs on the CD handed to her at college, so I am willing to listen to any music including rap. I have now heard that CD so many times that the rap song I know who does it.

I am a music lover through all decades from the 60s. I hear songs and I can tell you what was going on in my life, and the world, when that song was playing.
I love Enya, and I would love the opportunity to review her CD. And I am a big fan of Seal, and would be honored to review his CD too! Both Enya and Seal have music that brings me serenity and nostalgic thoughts, as well as blooms in poetry in my mind!

Music speaks to the soul, so I think it's appropriate that the CD I'd most like to review is Seal's new CD, "Soul." I actually heard him perform on TV and the CD (if I am correct in my assumption) is a collection of oldies but great soul classics, like Sam Cooke songs.

Seal can sing his way through anything, but this new take on old classics is sure to be a great CD to listen to...and review!

Music reminds me of my travels, just as much as it inspires me to travel. Music also encourges me to unfold the maps, pack the backpack and hit the road. Music for me is also a universal language. Music reminds me of people and can make the world mine. Ultimately music ignites my imagination, and enhances my world. I would be thrilled to review Enya: And Winter Came…

To be honest i'd be THRILLED to listen to any one of them! I love music. I grew up in a house where we listened to records or the radio more than tv. I'm still that way. Music for me is an escape, a release. When I have a bad day I put on some music and let it go. When i'm depressed or sad I put on some happy songs and let it go. Music makes me think, music makes me happy.

I love ALL music. Not a day goes by that I am not listening to some kind of music, and I have all genres. Music is transforming...and can make a bad day better. It can also be a comfort when you hear words that you can relate to. Music can changes hearts and minds just through the sheer beauty of its notes. Due to the economy I have not been able to purchase any new CD's lately, and I would absolutely love the opportunity to review any or all of these CD's. I especially love Enya...because her sound is so mellow and relaxing. Thank you for considering me...:)

I love a wide variety of music but I am not really sure why. I know that music makes me happy. Some songs bring back old memories that I enjoy reliving again. I prefer music to the tv and even when the tv is on, its usually on one of the music channels. Don't laugh but sometimes when I am alone, I grab the remote and pretend its a microphone. I imagine that I am singing before a crowd. If I had to pick one of the choices, I would go with Seal. There is just something about his music that I like. My favorite song of his is "Don't Cry". The song makes me cry as it has a special meaning to me. It was the song that kept playing on the radio when I was looking for my lost dog, who ended up getting hit by a car and killed. Enya was a favorite of my sons, so I have heard some of her songs. I like the softness of her music. I've never heard of Mary Higgins but I would welcome the chance to listen.

I love listening to all sorts of different music and am always interested in listening to new music. Music is a way for me to escape and go off into my own little world.
I've heard of these three musicians but other than hearing them on tv I haven't had the chance to listen to them yet but am very interested because when I've heard them on tv they sounded wonderful.
I have a variety of different cd's and I love to use my ubeat fast paced music when I workout, the slower more soothing types of music is great for relaxation and then I have some cd's that are nice to listen to when you just want to take a walk around town.
One of my favorite cd's is my Sound of Music soundtrack with nature sounds I love listening to it when I want to relax.

Music goes along with all of my favorite memories. Growing up, we didn't have TV but we had music. James Taylor, Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix all filled my childhood.
In college I had a lot of musician friends, and regular jam sessions at my house. Today I still enjoy music - I continually try to expose myself to new and different music, and I still love going to hear live music!

I would happily write a review for any of these CD's.

Seal: I've heard some of the songs from this CD on You-tube and they are incredible! Seal has such an amazing voice, and his maturity really shines through in these songs.

Missy Higgins: I've never heard of her before now, and I always love to be exposed to new artists.

Enya: I would LOVE to review this CD. I have always been entranced by Enya, her voice is simply magical to me. I can seriously get lost in her music.

Thanks Gather for another great contest!

When I was a child, we did not have a TV but we did have a radio. It was a transistor radio so sometimes you had to hold it next to your chest with the antenna sticking up in the air while other times you had to hold it in another direction. LOL It is funny now but back then it was not funny at all.

I still have a record player and from time to time I listen to my old 33 and 45 records just for the sound of a particular song. I also have an 8 track player that I still listen too. I would never part with my CD player though. Music has come a long way since the 60"s in terms of sound quality.

At an early age I learned that music can calm the angered heart. Music has always given me much pleasure and relaxes me in a way that nothing else can do. I enjoy a variety of kinds of music from LDS Gospel, Country, Instrumental, Bluegrass, Oldies, Rock N Roll and most kinds in between. My mood sets the stage for the kind of music I will be listening to at the time.

I love music. I love the way it can take me to a better place when I am feeling down.

I would love to review Enya. I'm not usually into this more adult contemporary type of music, but I've always liked Enya. Something about her hauntingly beautiful way of singing has always struck a chord in me, and her version of Silent Night is so beautiful that I can't wait to hear it at Christmastime. I've been eyeing this and thinking about getting it, so I would definitely review with care.

As far as the love of music itself, there is something so pure in its ability to express sentiment. Emotions of all ranges can be expressed by a few simple chords of the right music. There is nothing that reaches deeper into me than a well constructed piece of music, be it contemporary or classical, instrumental or ballad, etc. The other thing that gets me about music is the way in which it can console you in your times of need, or commiserate with you when you are frustrated, it can laugh with you when you are happy, and it can cry with you when you are sad. There is always something that can be listened to that will perfectly match the mood and the feeling of every situation.

I love listening to music and unfortunatly about 5 years ago, when we moved we lost all my cd's. :o(

My hubby listens to music 24/7 he put so many songs on his blackberry and now when he cleans the house, he puts his earphone from his blackberry in and cleans away. It would be so much nicer to have something for both of us to listen to and not just him. ;o)

I haven't heard of any of these musicians (or maybe I have I just don't know the names of them) I would love to review Missy Higgins and Enya.

Music can transform you back into time when you heard a certain song during a special or heartbreaking moment. It brings back the memories, you can smell the scents and taste the food you were eating when you hear a song that touches your heart. Certain songs will always be associated with certain events in your life and music is really the only sort of art where you are bonded by something so personally. That is the way I felt when I heard Seal for the first time. I heard his song 'Crazy' and instantly fell in love with him and his voice. And his music never disappoints.

I grew up with parents who absolutely adored music and it was always playing, every single day. This love has certainly been passed down to me. I have to have music going at all times, whether the latest new rock, or even to my huge collection of christmas music.

hi,
i guess everyone loves music. Well are you mad for it? Let just say my musical taste is a bouillabaisse of taste from cajun to classical. I can honestly say. If it stinks i will say it and if i feel its the greatest platter since bread was made,i will get on my high horse and preach about it.

I go by my instinct. can't explain that really but all i can say is i want this thanks

Music can be a very powerful outlet for one. Through music one can get lost in magical pieces, sweep away bad thoughts, identify with situations in one's life through the music. Music is theraputic to many, myself included.

As a writer, music can often set the mood for a scene I'm working on. Sometimes I make playlists related to scenes in the novels or that remind me of certain characters. As an artist, music also can influence what one creates with whatever medium they are working with.

I'd love to review the Enya CD. I've always loved her voice. So pretty so magical. I never even knew she had a new CD out! I don't really have any Christmas CDs to listen to, either, so this would be a great one to have in my collection. The only Christmas album I have is Mariah Carey's and I no longer listen to her, lol.

Thanks for giving us the opportunity to review these CDs!

I love all music, but I really love Enya the most out of these three. I love how she can sing in so many different languages, including those that were invented by her song writer Roma Ryan as well as those made popular by J.R. Tolkien. I love music because it helps me to escape the stresses of everyday life and this Enya cd would be a great addition to my collection, and i would love to review it.

Music is the window into our souls, without it, life would be very dull and boring. All kinds of music open up the senses. Everyone should experience all genres, you never know what you may hear. Something new to discover and begin to love that you may have never experienced otherwise. All three of these CDs would be wonderful to review, there is nothing better than great music to listen to!

Music helps me get through both good and bad times. I drive a very long ways to work each day and I put in a cd and it helps me get my thoughts together for the day. On the way home, it helps me start to unwind for the night. Often times in bad weather, I swear it is the music that leads me home to safety. I am a huge Enya fan and have all her other cds. I would absolutely love to review this Enya cd.

I love various kinds of music, mostly country, and am open to listening to any kinds. I usually listen to music when I am at home, or in the car. It brings back memories of things that I have done in the past.

I have heard from music from Seal before and liked it, I have heard music from Enya before, and I like it. Missy Higgins I haven't heard of, but am willing to listen to it and offer up my opinion of it.

Music is a vital part of my life.

Thank you for the chance.

I would love to review the Enya and Seal cd's. I have been listening to Seal's music since he first came on the scene. When I asked for a "Seal cd", no one in my family could figure out why I wanted a cd "with a bunch of seals singing on it" for a gift! They didn't get it. LOL. As for Enya, my massage therapist uses their music during her sessions and it is SO peaceful and relaxing and uplifting. I can only imagine their holiday music is amazing.

I use music to motivate every aspect of my life from cooking to writing. I've loved it as long as I can remember.

SEAL is probably my all time favorite artist right now and I'd die and go to heaven if I could have his new CD.

Enya is also a favorite of mine and I would love to review her CD.

I've been doing book reviews for HarperCollins for the past year and I've done a movie review too, so I definitely have the experience to handle this. You wouldn't be disappointed in my work.

Music has always been a major part of my life, from my 20+ years as a mobile DJ, to the several years I interviewed major artists, wrote articles and reviewed recordings for a country music publication.
I am especially fond of singer/ songwriter recordings, new music etc: All genres.
Any one of the CD's you are giving away would be an excellent addition to my collection.

I'm not an expert when it comes to music. I just enjoy it. When I'm alone in the car, I find myself getting lost in the music. I love my alone time because I can turn the radio up, sing at the top of my lungs (out of tune, I might add) and totally identify with the lyrics. It is such a great way to escape and relieve stress. I can listen to any genre, and I love finding that perfect "new favorite" song to enjoy.

I would be honored to review any of the above artists, as I am not very familiar with any of their work.

In writing a review, I would want to know my audience. Will readers be expecting a technical evaluation discussing musical virtuosity, the philosophical weight of lyrics, or simply the themes and emotional impact? If my review appears beside other musical articles and content, I can expect a certain level of immediate engagement whereas a review mixed in among other content areas may need to do more to capture attention.

As a word-nerd and info-geek, this opportunity intrigues me. I happily accept your challenge.

I would be willing to review just about any type of CD or music. I'm always looking for new things and I am not familiar with any of the CD's listed. My first memory of music is when my Mom cleaned on Saturdays and had the Big Band and Swing music playing and hearing her sing along with it. I remember being 7 when the Beatles came to be on the Ed Sullivan show and my parents response to them. I can remember listening to my pink transistor radio when I was young to hear the Saturday Night Dance Party on AM radio. All those 50's and 60's songs. Shortly after that, they came out with FM radio. Then I got a little older and listened on my 8 track player in my first car. I think the 8 track player was worth more than the car was! Recently, I've been listening to not only my CD's but the local country station during my morning commute and the classic rock station on my afternoon commute. I love how certain songs can take you back and you remember right where you were or what you were doing when they were hits. I would love to review any of the music.

I would love to win any of these cds. I havent heard songs from seal or enya in so long! I would love to listen to these and review them! I love music. I love the rhythm of songs but what moves me the most is the lyrics. If the lyrics arent good then the beat doesnt matter to me I wont like the song. A song that is wonderful is the kind that leaves you holding your breath with tears in your eyes. Music can take us back in time to memories forgotten until we hear that certain song again that sparks a memory inside us.

Music is life to me. Without music, there would be nothing. I love to express myself through music, my joy and sadness, things I hope and wish for. I love to try to find the meaning to each song...try to pick apart what the artist is trying to say.

I would like either Enya or Missy Higgins...

Music feeds my soul. It can calm the beast within me. It can bring out my inner child and make me dance for joy. It can find the soft spot in my heart and bring tears to my eyes. It conveys what I may not be able to express any other way. When I connect with a song I believe for those three to five minutes it plays that the song was written just for me.

I love Enya's music. It digs deep into my soul. This CD is on my Christmas wish list but I would love to enjoy it before and during the holidays.

I love music, and do enjoy listening to it for some of the quiet music smooths my migrines. While resting in the dark with them, I turn on quiet and comfronting music and this relaxes and take away the magitude of the migrines.
Music I feel is sometime the best medicine there is when needed.

I truely love Seal and all his works, been a fan for over 10 yrs, my favorite is the Rose song, and Enya is a smoothing type of music, and Only time was played at my wedding , 6 yrs ago. I would be honer to listen and review these albums, and any album in the future.

I'd be a good music reviewer because ... I have ears ...

I have a long and storied musical background. Much to my mother's chagrin, I began playing drums shortly after l mastered sitting up, the pots and pans were no longer her sole dominion. It was also around this time that I took up singing. Sinatra, Bennett, who ever was playing on the stereo, I sang along. Didn't matter if I knew the words, or sang a different tune, I did it my way, too.

I was surrounded by music and music became education as well as recreation. My grandmother was a pianist, trained at the Boston Conservatory, even played Carnegie Hall, but her favourite was Boogie Woogie, she could make the ivory and ebony dance. My other grandparents had a grand piano in the living room at the ranch, every once in a while my grandfather would dig out some sheet music from the bench and play a few show tunes. My mother was the back-up organist at church ... all those keyboarders hanging in the family tree, you knew a piano would find it's way into the house. And it did. Which meant I would start lessons at six. Three years, but my fingers just didn't want to learn, but the rest of me learned. Eyes learned the notes and staff, and my ears learned the chords and scales, the fingers would have to wait.

My fingers would get their turn at ten, as well as lips and tongue, lessons on the piano would be traded in for the horn. Trumpet came easily and was followed quickly by the rest of the brass. Woodwinds and their reeds were more challenging, plus there was that second and left handful of keys. But at twelve, my fingers would find their true musical love, again playing chords and scales, not on ivory, but on gut! The guitar was the instrument my fingers long searched to find, and yet much of their happiness on the fretboard was founded in the lessons of those early years of keyboard frustrations.

Music is a part of me, part biological, part environmental, and part instructional.

Oh by the way, my ears would be most interested in listening to Seal's
new album but any of them or all three of them would be very good too.

I have a music background and was a DJ and an assistant radio station manager in 2005. The station's format was mainly rock, but I personally like a little of everything.

My preference would be for Enya's CD (I'm most familiar with her and have two of her other CDs to compare the new one), but I would welcome the opportunity to review any of them.

Quite frankly, I love music and I love to write, and would be a great choice to review the Seal CD. Seal performed one of the songs from the CD on The Tonight Show and I was really impressed with how he handled the classic soul, so I know I'll look forward to the whole CD.

My background as a reviewer is fairly extensive: my fiction review blog was started in September of 2008 and has readers all over the world (Nearly nothing but novels: fiction and crime fiction book reviews), but I've also published in an on-line magazine (Blogcritics magazine) and had a book review syndicated by the Chicago Sun Times. I have incorporated author interviews into my blog and have at times built an extensive background of comments, photos and links to help readers understand and visualize the settings of novels, especially for "world fiction." In my blog, you'll often find me discussing the music used as soundtracks to certain novels, including those by George Pelecanos.

My musical training and experience is significant, though I'm not a professional: I'm a semi-pro guitar player (with two music lenses on Squidoo, Guitar Lessons for Kids to Adults, Playing, Gear and Semi-Pro Gigging and Women Guitar Players) and was trained on the cello through High School. I'm currently trying to learn Motown bass lines (on the bass guitar), I play with my guitar-prodigy son whenever possible, and I sing lustily, but poorly, to accompany my acoustic guitar strumming. I'm also an avid concert-goer, with jazz, blues, rock and classical music being my favorite genres; I also like some country music but am very particular and stay away from "commercial country music." I've heard many of the top musicians play and sing in the US and the UK, from Chicago blues to Opera. I've followed up my interest in music by reading biographies and autobiographies of significant musical figures, including (and ranging through) Miles Davis, Al Kooper and Levon Helm, and have also read criticism by Greil Marcus, Gerald Early, and the New Yorker writers.

Although I have written about fiction and the arts in the past year, most of my writing during that time has been on the environment, primarily at Chemistry for a sustainable world. Much of my environmental writing has been syndicated via BlogBurst.com.

So, I offer considerable experience as an amateur writer and some real knowledge of pop music, inside and out. I even performed in the warm-up band for The Fabulous Motown Revue at St. Louis' famed Pageant venue. I think you'll enjoy my review, and so will many others.

Thanks for the opportunity!

For many people, music is something pleasant playing in the background while they (shudder) multi-task. They listen with their ears; I listen with my heart. For me, music is not a pastime, it's a passion. I try not to discriminate based on genre, but I do insist the tune must have at least a rudimentary melody. Rampaging guitar chords and deafening drums are OK to accentuaye parts of a song, but not when they ARE the song. I own a humongous music collection comprising over 25000 tracks.

I love all kinds of music, from rock to blues, rap to country, classical to r&b, Pop to bluegrass and anything in between. I would love a chance to review all of these CDs. I have over 7000 songs from almost 900 different arists and groups in my Zune and I listen to them all. one of those songs is a song written and sang by a very beautiful lady who will some day the good lord willing be my wife. She has a talent that is unreal and an incredible voice. I think with the right breaks and connectins she could have been ust as big as any star out ther but yet anytime I bring it up, I hear "oh no I am not, you are just biased because you love me". She is right about the loving her part but not at all about the bias part. I truly think she has the talent and hopefully some day with my help she will have the freedom and the ability to explore that dream that I think deep down she has always had.
Back to the subject at hand I would have to say that I have always appreciated all types of music and keep an open mind for everything that I hear. The latest discovery that I have found and it is thanks to an e-mail and also Terry is the four men of a classical style on old standards and classics and also classical and do it in 4 different languages and that is IL Divo. Check them out if you will, their voices and their style are incredible in a "4 Tenors" way.

Music is what speaks to my SOUL!!!

It is the heartbeat of my life. Without music I would not be me.
I cannot imagine walking down a street without K-OS - Crabbuckit playing.
Or running without listening to Bad A** By Crystal Method.
Or Guitar Hero III without playing Evenflow by Pearl Jam.

If I have not listed to music for a week, I feel great sadness and sometime cannot comprehend why. Then I remember, I NEED my music. I relax like a cat in the sun, or get energized by the beats playing. Either way, music is my motivation.

I would love to review the Enya CD, they have always brought peace to my ears and some steamy nights in bed. :P

I love music because it is part of the way I celebrate life. I play music to complement meals, events, books that I’m reading, to set a mood. I use it to change my mood, to remember a time, an event or a person. If I’m not playing music, it’s playing in my head so there is always a soundtrack going on. I enjoy nearly all genre of music so it would be my honor to review all three of the albums – Enya, Missy Higgins and Seal. I write reviews that explain the album as well as what I like and don’t like, when I like to play the music and why I like or don’t like particular tracks.

Music has been the major part of my life. Music is healing. Ever since hearing my mother sing at a youg age and being turned on to her music, I have been hooked. She turned me on to the greats that she loved like Frankie Laine, Louis Armstrong, Rosemary Clooney, Al Hirt and many more. She loved the music that I listened to including the Beatles, Van Morrison, Nanci Griffith, Simon and Garfunkel and more. I devoted most of my life to music. I started playing in bands when I was 16 and continued until I was around 42, and I still go out to open-mic jams and play with friends. I also worked in radio and television for over 16 years. Music, to use a much abused cliche, is the "soundtrack to our lives." We remember our first kiss, first sexual experience, first car and many other events in our lives by the music we were listening to at the time. It could be the fluid jamming of the Grateful Dead, the uber-sincerity of Dan Fogelberg, the punk attack of X or The Ramones, the manufactured sound of any pop tart of the day. It still resonates with us, whatever it is. Music speaks to us and exerts a lot more influence in our lives than we recognize. A songwriter reveals a lot about themselves in a song, regardless of whether it's an autobiographical song or not. Some artists, such as Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Ray Davies and others can tell a story with such incredible music behind it that it can transport us to other places and effect change in our everyday outlook. Indeed, the healing has begun.

The best music comes from artists who have something within themselves which can only be expressed musically, and who must express it. That makes choosing a genre and mastering the 'language' of that genre irrelevant.

The best music reviews come from listeners who heard the music and really felt something. A meaningful connection was made between artist and listener; the music was the means and the artist is the one who made it happen. The reviewer's job is to capture that thing that happened, then describe what it was and how the artist did it.

The reviewer is on the receiving end of that meaningful connection. As a result, most reviews describe what it's like to be a listener, so the review ultimately becomes more about the reviewer than the music, or the artist who created it. The vast majority of music reviews are just so much first-person, gatekeeper-style punditry. To really touch the reader, the reviewer must avoid doing that, but the catch is that it's agonizingly hard work to avoid doing that.

I absolutely love music. All kinds. I have six children of my own and my boyfriend has four. I have always used music as an escape and an upper to a bad mood and now especially. There is always something going on in the house I escape to my music. My music tells my mood I change songs continuasly on my playlist that is also attached to my myspace and myyearbook pages and helps me to get in a better one. It is also my company when I am cleaning, driving, taking care of the children. I can bring the music everywhere I go and never be alone. I love to listen to the story the song tells and the melody it brings. I can not live without my music.

You should choose me, because I am the hugest music lover I know. I have always kept up with current music in all genres, even after having two children. I was always the first of my friends to hear about new bands or new albums and singles, and I have introduced them to many bands that they had not otherwise heard of. I also have a tendency to somehow know when a band has something amazing and that they are going to go big. When a new band or album comes out I am the first to purchase it, listen to it, or download it. After listening to it (generally over and over for at least a week to get a "feel" for the music contained there) I tell my husband what I think, and you can ask him, I have rarely been wrong. I have an enormous CD collection (currently just over 2,000 albums) that is constantly being added to. Music is a huge part of my existence and it is the one thing I have ensured has stayed in my now very busy life. I would LOVE to be a music reviewer for Gather. I would be willing to listen and review any one or all of the above CDs, although if we have to be specific I would have to go with either the Enya or the Missy Higgins.

I don't "understand" music at all. I can't read a note; never could. But I know what sounds good, and what moves me, motivates me, heals me...

I discovered Enya when she released Shepherd Moons years ago, and that album had the feel of the soundtrack of my life. From The sadness of "Evacuee" to the triumphant "Book of Days," and "How Can I Keep From Singing"it stirred something in me, beyond compare with any other music. I later sought out "Watermark" and "The Memory of Trees" and though they did not move me as much as the first, I found it all very soothing. But only if I wanted it to soothe... which is the beauty of her music. If you want to be inspired, it inspires.

I would love to have the opportunity to listen to, and to review "And Winter Came." The title alone is intriguing, and I have a feeling it might just be the thing to make winter feel a bit warmer.

Speaking for me only. When i listen to my music,it is an escape of all the problems around.i drown myself into it where i concentrate only on the sounds and beat of the music.Music ,if one really listens. Is always around us when normal people hear nothing.

Music is best listened to in the silence-where one hears nothing, that is the best music around. One just has to listen. So i think i would make a great Music Reviewer.

I'm honest and will review any/each of these CDs with an open mind and create an unbiased opinion. I'd rather someone be straight up with me and tell me something's awful before I waste my money on it. Thus, I like repaying the favor and helping other consumers! I have been a music fanatic since I was a child. I love music. I would love to receive the new Seal CD to review but would be interested in any of them. My music tastes are varied. I love rock, metal, soul, pop, country and even some easy listening. I am diverse.

I think I would be a perfect choice to help review these cd's and give a truely unbiased opinion. Thanks for the opportunity!
