Legendary singer - songwriter - multi instrumentalist Steve Winwood has released a new major label album, "Nine Lives." Nine Lives is one of the top-selling album on the Billboard 200, which tracks sales in the US.

I grew up listening to Steve Winwood. He was one of my favorite singers. I can still hear "Back In The High Life" in my head. He was "THE" rock and roller of the 60's and 70's. Over the years his style has changed from traditional Rock and Roll to Jazz, Pop and even some Blues. I was so excited to hear that he had a new CD out.
I have been listening to "Nine Lives" for over a week now and I must admit "I love it." His style has changed a bit but still that strong wonderful voice remains. In his new CD- Steve adds an assortment of musical styles from rock and roll, Pop, R&B, African, Latin American and some jazz mixed in. Each song is unique in style and character.
If you are a fan of Steve Winwood, you will love this CD. It floods my mind with memories of days gone by every-time I listen to it.
The fourth song on the CD - Dirty City features Eric Clapton.
