Bob Dylan has been creating art for more than four decades and the first-ever exhibition of his artwork is now on display in Germany at the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz. The three month event titled "The Drawn Blank Series", began October 28, 2007 and will run through February 3, 2008. For this exhibition, Bob Dylan is said to have produced more than 200 color variations on pictorial motifs from a book of drawings and sketches done from 1989 to 1992, which were published in 1994 under the title “Drawn Blank” by Random House. In the book's preface, Dylan explained that these works were intended as sketches for paintings that he eventually planned to complete. These now fully realized works will be displayed for the first time in Chemnitz. An extensive catalogue (in German and English) with numerous color and black-and-white reproductions has been published by Prestel Verlag to mark the exhibition.

Lorrie, you ought to join and publish this to gather's Bob Dylan group, http://bobdylan.gather.com/
Now we need a review of "I'm Not There."
I haven't seen "I'm Not There" yet. I'm sure someone will write it up sometime soon. Maybe there is someone on Gather that lives in Germany that could check out the art exhibit and let us know how it is.
