My thoughts and prayers go to those families and friends of those poor unfortunate victims of April 16 at Virginia Tech. I can't even possibly imagine the pain you must all be feeling. I hope that the love that is being sent from around the world to you will help heal the wounds and give you some comfort. I fear it will be a long hard road to coming to terms with this horrific tragedy, as it all seems so incredibly unjust and came so unexpectedly. We share your loss of those loved ones taken way too early and so cruelly. There is no reason. There is no justification. Only loss at the face of this woeful tragedy.

I hope you can all find some peace in this dark, dark time.

I have no words that would convey the sorrow I feel for the families and friends of the victims.

Reading about this tragedy chilled me to the core. My prayers go out to all those that lost loved ones and/or were somehow affected by this senseless act of violence.

I totally support everything you wrote MiG and have been praying about it since I learned of this horrific tragedy. If only we could identify the distressed individuals who perpetrate these things, ahead of time, in order to protect all people.

Bless these people and let us never forget this tragedy. We identified the bad guy in this case way before he did this, the other kids would wonder out loud to each other if this guy could end up being a school shooter but we failed to do anything about it.

I pray for these families and for our future.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all those who are affected by this tragedy. I can't imagine how disturbed someone must be to do something like this. It makes me afraid to send my children off to school.

With the anniversary of columbine just two days away and the past two days with this story at VT, I am so afraid of the world that my children will grow up and I hug them closer to me. My heart and thoughts are out there on message boards of condolences to the families of the victims. It is so sad.

It is a dangerous world with dangerous people in it that we live, but we cannot let the danger overtake our lives and live in fear. For every incident like the one at VT that shocks us to our core, there are hundreds of incidents of caring and hope that are easily and often overlooked. For all it's danger, we still live in a beautiful world.

Amen to that, MiG. And, along with friends, family and the World that have been touched in some way by this tragedy, I have to remind myself to remember the boy's family/parents, too. I can't imagine what they're feeling and going through. Their friends had nothing but good to say about these nice, quiet, gentle people.

This is so heartbreaking. I feel for all of the victims friends and family members. I just don't understand how anyone can do something so evil. It's hard for me to comprehend it.

Mental illness is so hard to understand. So so sad. For the victims, their families, friends, the boy, and his family. I can only hope that those touched by this tragedy can take some strength from the love sent from all over the world.
