A recent article by a provincial hick claimed that the author had been "stalked" because articles were posted with the same tags that he favors.
That the articles included numerous tags, and were posted to a dozen political groups, was not mentioned. This is not the only relevant fact that the under-educated "sage"fusses about and stamps his feet.
The whining author made other ridiculous assertions. He claimed that he was "accused" because an article that was published with tags that he favors denounced the unreason around an issue (the Obama birth certificate) about which he had not published.
The hilarious articles about the President's birth certificate and the Supreme Court were, in fact, published by other members of the Protect Our Delusions Support Group that has formed around the whining author. The authors were likely to see any article with these tags.
The blogger of rightwing nonsense cribbed from talk radio believes that he is part of a persecuted minority.
(Sample comment from the Right Wingnut: " We need to let everyone know who these people are so we can be on alert.")
The author's vague paranoia and weird ideas of grandeur have an even longer history. He once expressed surprise that one of his anti-Obama rants (without a single fact or reference point) was "found" by other people on Gather.
Can anyone of normal intelligence be so clueless?
Does he not realize that tags are INTENDED to direct Gather traffic?
Is this not another example of the whiner's pathological obsession to control how ideas are discussed?
For those Gather members who are curious about the disputed tag, it resembles "The Charmin Report". The thoughtless political diatribe (sample: "The far left just see America as just another country. They see nothing special in our nation.") has much in common with the esteemed American paper product: they are useful for the same purpose.
The insecure blogger of modest talent approves all comments to his articles, and has been a swift remover of anything that challenges his fragile ego and even more fragile "arguments".
He is dishonest when he says that he has removed only the comments that were offensive or "hateful", as has been demonstrated in other articles.
Rightwing Scribbler Sees "Hatred" in Every Challenge
When another member of the Protect Our Delusions Support Group complained about a Gather member who had left comments, the provincial hick removed all the comments of that Gather Member.
Quoted from a comment by the Hick: "Well Charles from now on I will delete of (sic) Bob C.'s comments. Even the ones on this thread now have vanished."
Only after the "removed" comments were published for others to see and evaluate, and after the whiner's refusal to accept any challenge was noted by many others, did the whiner begin to allow even the slightest critical tone to appear.
The title of the linked article above is still accurate, I believe.
The easily-wounded blogger, painfully reminded that he is not in the "mainstream" of contemporary American life any longer, believes that those who note his unsupported arguments, illogical opinions, and inability to debate must "hate" him.
Nothing is further from the truth. I love to laugh along at the "Charmin Report", and I thoroughly enjoy the fussing and the hand-wringing of the boondock pundit who is always a victim of others.
There is no "hatred" involved at all.
It is a joy, and a moral duty, to expose the hypocrisies and untruths of those who refuse to allow dissenting comments.

I think I know of who you speak.
I posted this on a thread by Sandy.
Here is my conversation with no name.
He says: Obama is going to give everyone something for nothing. He is scary and a socialist and must be stopped.
I say: Really no name and what is Obama giving these people for nothing?
He says: Healthcare. He wants to socialize healthcare.
I say: Socialized healthcare isnt free. You pay for it with your taxes. Next example.
He says: I am through talking to you. You dont know what you are talking about.
He then proceeded to call me a troll.
He wishes.
If that is the case can you also do purses?
I would love a good LV or RL knock off.

He misuses the word, "counterfeit", Lori.
He is not a skilled wordsmith, prefering the shock phrases he hears on talk radio.
I am going to look for Sandy's article.
I like to use quotes, Debra. They illustrate my points.
You're...umm...NOT shocked, right Peter?
I'm just tickled silly over it. heh
I have been complimented in this way many times! ;-)
I'm not even goin' there!
Despite the impression that my overwrought prose might suggest, I am not easily shaken.
The Hick's whiney rants are the only articles of his that have any readers.

I am getting a little horny.
Exactly, Sandy.
I loved the comments in your article.
:-)
Give me 10 inches and make it hurt you little troll counterfeiter.
Would be inappropriate?
I do not believe that the two terms are identical, Beaker. Many intelligent, well-informed, tolerant folks live in "the provinces".
"Hick" designates the ignoramous who is proud of being illogical and bigoted.
Precisely, Rita.
That is why the demand for fundamental "change" in this country is so strong.
Good observation, Aniko.
Of all the words he doesn't understand or use correctly, why choose "counterfeit"?
Oh, you'll have to be much more specific than that...
SEO?

You mean you don't read the drivel in the Charmin Report, Kris?
"SEO"
You are probably right, Wil.
Been there, done that. Conclusion: ????
Why bother?
When no one answered me, I decided to listen to the voices instead.
(smiles)
Blessings!
Wilka
I remain optimistic about the ability of (even the densest and most befuudled) creatures to change.
The "Charmin Report" is the random and ill-considered musings of a provincial hick without a decent education (or life experience, or insight, or curiosity, or an open mind).
I believe the article in the link above still connects to the original posts of the hick.
I am still chuckling at your comment, Lori.
I'm glad that you enjoyed the article, Dominic.
The "Provincial Hick" is a very interesting example of a person simultaneously angry and self-pitying.
