An amazing thing just happened to me today.
I received news that my aunt has been sent home from the hospital with emphysema, and there is nothing they can do. She has smoked her entire life and it has caught up with her. She is on oxygen 24/7 but is still not enough. She is the last living relative on my mother's side of the family.
*Update* My aunt has gone to a Rehab for now. We will see how she responds before she goes home, alone.
So, I sit here and start reminiscing about how close I have always been to my aunt. She was there for me at age 14, when I lost my Mom. She became my second mother.
I get a knock on my door. My neighbor's 4 y/o grandson was standing there with a hand picked boquet of flowers.

An angel, that's what I call him, he hand picked these flowers just for me.
He gave me a hug and told me he was just thinking about me and wanted to bring me some pretty flowers, so I could have a good day.
From the mouth of babes. It just doesn't get any better than this.

One of Gods ways of saying he loves ya !
HUGS
I completely agree Vivian. My neighbor had no idea what was going on with me.
Someone let him know you needed a hug and some good thoughts from a child and this little neighbor boy delivered them.
"someone" is right. Someone up above "somewhere". It is amazing Katie.
My daughter and I have had "one of those days" today. Nothing has gone right from the moment we woke this morning. From lost car keys to screaming neighbors, nasty phone calls and etc. We finally found the keys and got back from a quick trip to the store. As we returned, 2 of the children that are always at our house came up to the car. I thought to myslef, "let us at least get out first." One girl told us she came over and put flowers on our puppies grave. My daughter and I looked at each other and smiled, the entire bad day disappeared with her sweet face and gesture.
Kids are amazing! =) Glad you experienced a bright sopt today.

Oh Carol, I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt.........such heartbreaking news, and you feel so helpless, I know......but how neat that you got that lovely bouquet of flowers and a hug........wow, I'm sure it made your day! Prayers for your aunt.....my sister-in-law is still hanging on (as a matter of fact I'm at the Hospice House now, using their computer!!!!)........my uncle's funeral is at 2 this afternoon...couldn't go, but I called the funeral home....they are videotaping the visitation and the funeral service for me and will put it on a DVD and send it to me........I had flowers wired this morning so pray they made it in time. Hugs and prayers to you and your aunt!

My aunt has been sent to rehab for now. Thank you for your comments.
I hope your aunt does okay with rehab. My grandfather (maternal) had endstage lung disease and emphysema (he too had smoked for years and years). I will be sending positive thoughts and virtual hugs to you all.
As for your amazing event, oh my goodness! What a beautiful thing to do...and beautiful flowers! Obviously, he was led to do this and it was something you both needed :) Isn't it wonderful when things that seem like small acts, make such a big impact??? You both are fortunate to know one another.
Thank you Renda for your continues support.
Yes, the 4 y/o was angelic, no other way to describe it. :)
Amazing things happen every day. Some times they even happen to us. It was your tun on the wheel.
Thanks David, they just don't happen often enough, or so it seems. I am very grateful just the same.

I am sorry to hear about your aunt but delighted to read the story of your little angel.
How wonderful - kids are little angels in disguise, at least sometimes:) I think as they get older they get infected by us adults.
