People are like gifts!

Just like parcels they come in all shapes and sizes. Some people are
easy to unwrap. Some have been hurt and can not open up easily.

The wrappings can be beautiful - but these are not the gift. The gift is
the unique person within... the unique combination of creativity,
skills, talents, accomplishments, attributes and quirks that make up who
we are.

Be grateful for the special gift of yourself and others.

That is great Apryl. From reading your articles, I can tell you have had a rough go of it, but you seem like a survivor. I am sure you are a lot like myself, you just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

I find myself sounding like my Grandmother with all these sayings...but I have learned them all the hard way and I want to try and help others, if I can.

If we can just remember this when we meet people we don't understand. We just don't know what is under that cover, under that wrapper. We have to be careful and gentle, there just may be a wonderful surprise under there. just for us. Thanks for reminding us.

In the Bible, one of the Psalms, it says children are gifts from God, and in one of Paul's writings, he says God gives gifts in men, and in the Proverbs, it describes women and their wonderful qualities, like fine coral (Peter has some great things to say about women too)......you have just put all of these together in your own words and that is very nice.
