I just saw an Oprah show with Gary Allan (country singer) talking about his wife committing suicide two years ago.

They had six children, she had three and he had three. So very sad.

I had Tivo'd the show and just watched it. I agree. I am so glad they aired it. I have been trying to get on the show and Dr. Phil to tell my story. It is very hard to get anyone's attention. I am really tying to get the wod out about suicide and mental illness. The local paper actually ran an article a few months back on suicide, but it's only once in a blue moon that it happens.

I want to stand on top of a mountain and scream to the world to wake up and realize mental illness and suicide are happening every second of every day.

If it were not pushed under the rug, maybe more lives could be saved.

The suicide statistics are staggering.

I saw that too, and my heart went out to him. I've experience clinical depresson, and it's no picnic. People need to take it seriously. Depression has also been linked to heart disease, so that's another reason to seek help.
