I noticed thew crops not getting harvested in Wisconsin yet as well. I didn't know that it was because of the rain.

We have had an incredibly rainy time of it here, too. At least in is just inconvenient for me, those poor farmers must be having a hard time of it.

Connecticut too, no crops and a lot of farmland went up for sale, though it's not selling.

That's why we didn't get Idaho potatoes until recently? We've had a lot from Idaho and other places that had what we call blight in them, black stuff inside?
We used to also get potatoes from Prince Edward Island, I wonder if they're having the same problem?

I am no longer farmimg, I used to. I started driving a tractor when I was 11. The farm was willed to me, had to sale off the rest of it, 5 years ago. Lost too much money. I am still very concerned. We grew corn and soybeans.

Wallaces farmer was grandpa, dad's and my fav. magazine at one time, thank-you. That brought back many memorys , some very good ones.

This is a matter of great concern. Corn prices, already higher due to ethanol use, will go even higher. I think Connie is right about stocking non-perishable foods.
