The kids and I set out for a day of fun and we weren't sure exactly what we were going to do. First we picked up a few loaves of bread at the store and headed over to the local duck pond to feed the little quackers. I didn't get a chance to take any photos there because I was too busy keeping the geese away from my little boys hind end.
Then we decided to drive to the next town over. It is larger and there are more things to do. We noticed a playground off to the side that we had never been to before and it was a unanimous "Yes, Mommy, we want to go there," when I asked the kids if we should stop.

After stopping in the parking lot, I noticed that this was the home of the K of C Sand Volleyball.

There was a big sandbox to the side of the playground for the kids to play in. It was almost like we were at the beach, except there was no water.

We spent about an hour playing in the sand. I drew the kids name in the sand with a stick. As they were digging in the sand they found a little surprise in there.

This little wiggly worm kept them both entertained for some time.

Then it was off to play at the playground. They had a ball and I went around snapping pictures all over the place.

They really enjoyed the merry go round. All of the parks in our town, do not have one of these.

After the park and playground, we stopped off at TCBY for some ice cream cones. It was a great outing for the day, and we all slept really good that night.

Thanks for stopping by Stacey.
Yes, I plan to put all the photos of the kids growing up through the years in scrapbooks and photo albums.
It looks like it was a really fun day. I can't wait until we get to go to the playground. The snow is finally starting to melt here. Yay.
