I have decided to try this photo essay thing again.....HAHA. This is my story of my dog (my baby)
A friend of mine and her husband knew of a person who had a couple of mistreated dogs and that the female had given birth a week or so before they got there. Of course their intentions were to just report the animal cruelty ppl. Once there they saw this little dirty, shivering, almost starving little puppy. There was no way they were going to leave it there. They bundled her up and took her home. A few days went by and everything seemed to be going good. Then one day their other dog saw the puppy at its food dish and attacked. The puppy's jaw was busted, her head was cut open and she was just dying slowly. Her husband jumped into his truck with a friend and rushed the pup to the vet. She was so severly damaged that they told him she would have to put down or be taken to Guelph (the best Veterianary Hospital around). He took the pup over 250 miles with him to Guelph, where they instantly took her to ER, telling him that it would be a miracle if the pup was to survive. When asked the name of the pup for the paper work he figured that since she was still alive the name would be LUCKY.
After 2 weeks there at the hospital, and a $3000.00 bill, they brought her home. The first picture will be of her when t
hey got her home after a couple of days.
As you can see, I now own her and have since about 2 weeks after they got her home. When she came to me she acted like such a little lady, that is the reason I changed her name.
If you look at her in a certain angle you can see her jaw is still not completely straight. It does not bother her at all anymore, mind you she will be four in a couple of months, but sometimes at night I think she has nightmares. I just cuddle her closer.... :O)
I hope you like Lady's story. She has had a hard battle in her life, but being such a fighter and loving creature, she made it through the worst and now lives the life of leisure and fun here with me.

If you want to make your pictures big..
after you download them go back to article and click the lil picture. It will then open another page with that picture. You copy and paste that big picture into your article! Good Luck! Great job even with the pictures being little!

Thank you for sharing.
we once lived in the country where people would regularly dump their cats and dogs out.....since we had a kitten, all of the cats began to find our home and make it theirs. at one time, we had 17 cats to care for. And my son and I are allergic to cats. we didn't know we were allergic until a friend gave us the kitten...then we found out...two of the kittens were brought to us by their mother...a bobcat...one kitten was part persian, the other was part siamese (sp)...she brought them into our yard and left them on our porch, while she stood across the road and waited to see what we would do.....we loved them till they were no more.
Thanks for posting to Post 'em if you got 'em!
Thx for all the heart felt comments from all of you...................... :O)
