PRISONER

Marooned in loneliness

Alone

with only the toneless drone

of my woebegone thoughts

Prone to erroneous ways

Imprisoned in guilt

for actions uncondoned

unsanctioned

yet questioned by none

Cold and lonely

my mind undone

hidden behind walls of stone

waiting to be pardoned

Is all hope gone?
