Today I learned that jicama (pronounced HEE-ka-mah) is a very tasty and crunchy addition to salad. I've always wanted to try it, and bought it on a whim in the produce dept. the other day.
Well I just learned that my sister in law had never tried jicama! Very tasy with or without salad I eat it many different ways very popular among us mexicans.
Today I learned that fondue is only going to be an occasional pleasure... I still have a stomach ache from dinner last night which was my first experience with fondue-ing since the 70's!!
