I saw this one on Tuesday night with my friend. It is the story of William Wilburforce in the 1800's. He is the one responsible for ending slavery in England. He also is attributed with other social reforms and programs.
The story goes back and forth, with the fight for freedom of slaves and the emotional and medical(Colitis) price he had to pay for his efforts to help these poor enslaved people. It is also about the man who wrote Amazing Grace- a former slave ship captain- who became a minister. He was haunted by the souls of the people he transported. This movie told in details, things they did not teach you in school. At times this movie brought tears to my eyes.
Man's inhumanity to man.
In England's history, this man was a hero (in my opinion).
