I recieved a frantic phone call from youngest daughter. It was 6 pm, Friday. She was calling to say she would be late picking up her daughter. She said her store had been robbed. She had to go talk to the police. She didn't have time to tell me much then. My husband was on his way home so I called him and told him. He was right by the exit to her store so he took it and went to check on her. When he arrived at the store it was surrounded by crime scene tape. She could only talk to him from the door. She said she was fine but looked very upset. She said the guy didn't touch her or her boss.
I called family members to let them know she was fine in case they saw it on TV. Channel 5 and 4 were both there. The next time she called she said the guy was armed. They saw the gun. She told me that she had a funny feeling. She felt like she needed to drop her cash into the safe before they actually closed. She preceded to do this, as she was dropping the money in the safe a guy came in with his face covered. Her boss started to tell him to remove it or leave. That is when he said "This is a stick up! Give me your money!" Her boss said " Are you Kidding?" She thought it was a joke till he said " Give me the money! I have a gun!" He then pulled the gun out! He then said to my daughter, " I saw your money! Give it to me!" Her boss told him to leave my daughter alone. She doesn't have money. Her money is already dropped and they can't get it back." She stepped in front of my daughter and started giving him the money she had. My daughter is pregnat and her boss was protecting the baby. She kept telling the guy to leave my daughter alone. After he got the money he ran out the front door and around the side of the building. The heard gun fire. They later learned he tried to car jack someone outside. The person ran their vehicle into a tree instead of letting him have it. Later the police got a call about a man taking clothes off at a nearby gas station. When they got there they recovered the clothes he had wore during the robbery. They haven't caught him yet. They think they have got some good finger prints as he did not wear gloves.
My daughter and her boss were not harmed. Niether was the carjack victim. Hopefully they will catch him. My daughters store is hiring them an armed security gaurd till after the holidays. The police say that armed robberies increase around the holidays.

No gloves, go figure not playing with a full deck from the get go.
Her boss is to be comemded for her bravery and cool headed willingness to protect your daughter. Her boss is a hero...
I see this as a blessing n the midst of the problems of society, the prob;lems exist and people chose to do wrong to try to survive, but in this case, a blessing for your daughter was given and she was safe.
God Bless you, and know how loved your daughter is. Not just by you and us here but by God.
Merry Christmas
Her boss deserves a HUGE plate of cookies! Maybe a lexus even? ha

The police were saying on television the other day that robberies increase during the holidays. People who are unemployed on not enough money to buy presents for their kids will resort to robbery. These people are usually not crack heads this time of year. They are people whos morales are not that great. They are desperate to give their family Christmas.
